i remeber me friends makin fun of me for jumping right the hell in the air at headcrabds in vents when i was little
Hey good job, that was almost readable!
ill read you motherfucker
penicillin will do wonders for your illness.
Okay. You win. I never actually laugh at internet shit. This post actually made me chuckle into my hand to avoid creeping my roommate out. Great job!
Anyway, I hope they try to make it scary. I’m all for it, and I agree I jumped at moments when I played HL. Though, while I’m sure that they have it under control, I hope they don’t make it corny.
And this thread is totally kosher, imo. This isn’t a single question like “What is this?” It’s a discussion thread.
Oh, thank Yehshua that Rabbi Winged One hath declared this thread kosher. I wasn’t going to make a post ehre, but now i see it is kosher so I’m going to go ahead and say that the Controller animations are online and looking fine
If they made it scary, that’d be cool. But if they didn’t, that’d be cool too.
[COLOR=’#212121’]I know, I raised the bar so high for this thread.
Wait, where?
I never thought of HL1 as a scary game. Sure, it had a few of those “monster jumps out of the cupboard” moments but never like DOOM³ (that was a scary game, not by design but because it was so dark). HL2 was perhaps a bit scarier because it was more graphically immersive, and because of the new zombies (fast en poisonous), especially if you encounter them in a dark room.
HL1 always seemed to follow the scifi storyline more than the horror one, but it could scare you in a few instances. So I suspect that BMS might be a little bit more scary yes, but not by much.
Black Mesa will at least be as scary as HL was the first time. All the maps are redesigned, so the scares will be in different places!
Half-Life: Scary
If you think that comment was funny, you’re only fooling yourself.
I played Uplink before I got around to HL, and that was pretty scary towards the end, especially as you can hear the Garg howling well before you see it - I was scared to climb out of the vent into the corridor for that last little chunk of the level!
Fear in the majority of HL proper (for me at least) usually came from the panic associated with fighting a new enemy or a boss, especially the Gonarch, when you realise that you can’t actually kill it when you arrive in its lair. :fffuuu:
LOL! Haha, oh man.
As for BM being scary, I think it’ll make an advance in that department with all 'dem graphics improvements.
Are you serious?

I dont see why this thread should be considered childish.
End of discussion please.
Oh, I thought he meant something new. Yes I’ve seen that video.
Wait, you do or don’t see it as childish?
I think the thread has a valid point to it, albeit a bit late.
Ok, it just didn’t sound like you were trying to start a discussion thread to me. It sounded like you were creating a new thread just to ask about a question.
I know, it just didn’t sound like a discussion thread to me at first.
Thank you for you opinion, I believe we have established that it is a discussion thread.
He wasn’t describing it as childish, he said that it wouldn’t be the first time that an account has been hacked or a younger sibling got on and created a new thread.
I think that much has been established already.
I’m not talking about JamesKane’s controller flight video:

Oops. Well, they are in someones online portfolio, lets leave it at that
:fffuuu:
Wuuuuuuuuuuh? to that leakage.
But I would like it either way if it was scary or not, though with all the graphic improvements I bet it will be scarier this time around.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
