Black Mesa Source - Walpapers

Hey guys, I might just start off here by adding some of my pics that I made in here, this should be a really good mod, looks great guys!

Last one is cool, but it should be in the show off section. Anyway welcome to Black Mesa. BE SURE TO READ THE FAQ, and questions can be asked in Got a Question thread.

Hey that was quick ^^, thx, Quick think before i got to soccer, try organizing the forum sections a bit more… that should help.

you wouldn’t happen to have a 1680x1050 version of that last one would you :3 It would also be pretty cool in green too

I agree with Sitten Duck, that last one looks really nice, it would be a welcome replacement to a straight blue background on 1680x1050.

Trust me, you are not the one to tell what the Webmaster should do.

Pity the mod’s name is ‘Black Mesa’ and not ‘Black Mesa Source’.

Indeed… and the only thing that reminds of BM: Source is the S in the logo…

Ah, that can be corrected in paint. It is still a nice wallpaper.

…and not walpaper.

Thanks for all the positive feedback -.-

np.

Wait, was he sarcastic?

yes, if i wanted everyones advice on what to do, rather than just commenting of the artwork, i would have asked. Being put in my place by mods makes me feel ashamed of myself. and what about the name, the s in the logo’s stand for source idiot.

jeez, no offence but this is just a flame thread, plz delete. I cannot be screwed managing this place as well

I’m loving the wallpapers

Here is one I did, it didn’t take too long but I think it would be good for other people to be able to enjoy it (I hope not hate it xD).

Anyway, here it is:

EDIT: Judging by Adam’s response, I think I should explain it. The blue bits on some of the images are the same image, just made to look like a blue print or design version, to show as if it has come from a design to actual concept? And I know it may look a bit confusing but if you look then you can understand it perfectly I hope!

EDIT: Unfortunately I think Photo Bucket scales them down but if anyone would like the original High Resolution version, I can upload it to my web server and PM you a link!

What the.

Sorry to say but I don’t find it very good. It’s pretty messy, the blueprint effect is annoying and the zombie and gargantua are just out of place.

What don’t you understand / like!? Ahhhh!!

~Nabster

Okay then, I will remove the zombie? That should make it look cleaner, and I thought that the blue print effect was a good idea? I guess because it hasn’t been done yet in a Black Mesa Wall Paper.

Thanks for the response

I want to make it good so people like it, so please keep the feedback coming!

~Nabster

I hate giving bad criticism, So I won’t.

But pretty much what Imonfire said… :frowning:

I like the blueprint look, Just not what you’ve done with it.
Looks kind of messy.
Although… I believe it can be improved to look really nice.

I like the blue print effect, but maybe you could but some gradient in it. Also yeah you should remove the zombie and Gargantua. They do look sexy but they’re really out of place.

But really it’s a good idea you got there.

No no no!!

If you don’t give criticism, how do people improve and learn? Trust me when you’re a programmer you get so much, not so much bad criticism but constructive for what the person wants (or what the needs are). But in my web design Layouts I get a lot of it because you’re doing what that person wants so what you and they visualize may be slightly different

So, please say what you want, I was just chucking around ideas with this wall paper and I put it on here for you guys to complain or whatever you want! And to give criticism!

Thanks for the heads up on how it will look eventually (I hope!) Fingers crossed.
