Tried checking out the GLaDOS flash, it seems to be using a LocalConnection object which implies that there is another flash file on the website, and that the two interact (as in, the GLaDOS one activates when you launch the other first).
Probably a reference to the “external gateway” part of the email…
Not sure if the “secure server” thing is related : it is probably linked to the host of the website… same goes for the ftp, it might just be the ftp used to upload files on the website.

Okay! so i found the first data packet, we pretty much need to string all the binary in order to get the full message without 1, packet 2 was a bunch of gibberish. here’s what i’ve gotten so far “Simulation data for specimen:GG-3883. Simulatio”

Not gibberish, it’s just split at the wrong place ; remove the first few binary chars (so you get a multiple of 8 ) and it spells “de Scenario Inevitable.” (missing the first char).
