Black Mesa on Xbox Live Arcade?

I have a question both for the Black Mesa comunity and the people making the Black Mesa source mod.

would it be posible after finishing the Black Mesa source mod for Pc if you could,
re-program the Mod for the Xbox 360 and all its controlls. And put it up for digital
distribution on Xbox Live Marketplace under the independent, (Indie) title!

You could even give peole that like the game the option to donate money.

Please give me a response and what you think!!

I think you need a better PC, Steam, and a Source engine game that comes with the Orange Box SDK Base.

ummmm… NO, why would the devs waste a year or two of their time putting this on xbox or playstation for that matter. Mods are things u only see for pc games.

^I have all that i just want the Black Mesa source mod to be made to play on the
Xbox 360 being hosted on Xbox Live Marketplace!

you can get mods for Xbox 360 game theres not just that many thats all.:[

The devs aren’t getting paid and it would be a pain the ass for them reprogram everything and by the time they got it to work for xbox the hype would have died down. Also most xbox gamers wont know what it is cause they’ve prolly never played HL. I dont even think consoles can have mods.

Edit: Dont double post and your thinking of DLC, not mods.

Not possible at all even if we wanted too

How comes its not posible?

I could have sworn I saw this thread locked, I must be hallucinating.
It’s not possible probably because there’s a size limit for downloadable games on XBLA.

Because they’d have to contact Microsoft about it to be put on there, and it’s originally Valve’s property, which makes it illegal, would be my guess.

Stop asking.

And file type and folder structure differences, as well as the lack of access to the SDK.

Exactly the Black Mesa source mod is the independent remake of the first Half Life Game it woud introduce people to the Half Life series that hadn’t played it before and people may have played Half Life 2 and episode one & two
on The Orange Box!!!

However much you want it, Black Mesa on XBLA will not happen. The legal minefield and work involved is simply too much to expect to be fully realised. Your question has already been answered by JamesKane above, so to stop any potential trolling I’m closing the thread.

In sum: you’ll need a decent PC, Steam and a game with the SourceSDK to play Black Mesa. No other way.

EDIT: You may find the Got a Question Thread most helpful in future.

not gonna happen. thread closed.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
