Black Mesa is released!

You´re right, im Austrian (:
Thanks for “defending” me, i know it isn´t gramatically correct english.

@Parnifia: Is it better to not tell someone what i feel about something just because i may be not gramatically correct?
There are people out there in the eastern countrys who can´t speak english without GTranslate…

No Offense!

I just want to ask. Why did you cut off this part of the game? It was really awesome part in original HL (especially the fight between marines and aliens at 14:03) and it would make BMS a bit longer. Is there any chance that you will bring it back in the final version? Definitely would appreciate it

But Black Mesa is awesome anyway. Huge thanks for making this remake! I will probably never come back to original HL after playing this

Don’t worry about me, I’m just a nosy bastard. :zip:

Yup, BlackMesa team, you pretty much nailed it. Godspeed with the Xen part you hardworking bastards!

I just registered here to say… Thanks so much!
This is the best mod i played in my life and revived my experiencia of HL1 with insane jumps and monsters of xen =)
I want donate so much for the developers.
I can’t wait for news and media images & videos about Xen expansion =D
Sorry my english and thank you.

Alright, after three days of playing during my free evenings, I finally finished it.

Someone needs to invent and fund a Nobel prize for game design, just so it can be awarded to you guys. Black Mesa lived up to and exceeded all its hype for me. The entire mod was magic, the models, textures, maps, sound, all of it was simply brilliant. I especially liked the music on the cliffside, and the Xen terrarium in QE, great touches. I’ve found a few minor bugs which I’ll report later, but nothing major, and certainly nothing to prevent me from giving BM a perfect score under any review system.

Thank you for doing this for us, for putting up with the complains for so long and persevering. You guys rock, and I can’t wait for Xen. I mean, I can, but I-

Well you know what I mean. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This Mod is really thugnificent. I hope to you guys best of luck can offer with the remaining part of the game and getting the mod on to steam. Thank you.

Your English is forgiven.

Thank u for this great mod!

Much better than their own version of HL1 on the source…

Graphics are topnotch, even on this old engine, looks very neat and slick

Very well done!!!

The more I play the game the more impressed I get. It really is a great piece of work.^^

Black Mesa exudes passion and respect for Valve’s work from beginning to end. And is honored to be one of the best games that use the Source Engine, recreating such detail every corner of these secret laboratories, it is impossible not to be surprised by the creative potential of this team.

Did Valve give any kind of feedback since the release?

I’m reading on some game sites that Black Mesa (and some of the other Greenlit games) is coming to Steam on October 15th, but none of the articles gives an official link.

Can a developer confirm this?

Thank you.

In October 15th at least 10 more games will be accepted for Steam this Does not mean That BM they will be released that DAY.

I’d also like to know, maybe even a response from the big man himself, because so far all they’ve said is “we’re eager to play it” and that was… five years ago, surely they’ve tried BM out by now?

I was finally able to finish Black Mesa earlier this morning, and I just wanted to say thank you guys for creating such a phenomenal update on the classic. Playing this game brings back a lot of good memories, and needless to say you guys did such a good job on it. Thank you so much for all of the hard work that was put into this game. The weapons, the NPCs, the level layouts, everything looked awesome and still felt like Half-Life. So again, thank you guys so much!

When the second part of the game will be released?

When people stop asking about it.

Good one.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
