To give an actual answer, sometime next year.
Black Mesa’s reviews so far have been underrated. The people creating the articles don’t know the damn story either…and now we’ve got hostiles. We’ve got incoming morons who are talking about Blue Shift remakes called “Guard Duty” when Guard Duty already exists.
Don’t forget that the developers aren’t getting any payment whatsoever, made the best modification AND game I have ever played…even better than Half-Life 1 when I first played it.
If I was authoring the articles I would have…well seeing that people who aren’t in the professional business just created the best First Person Shooter mod and game ever conceived…I would have been addressing this right off the bat.
What happened to the DL that was on Shacknews? D: I don’t want to have to download 2 parts and jump through hoops to install, nor do I want to torrent.
Please tell me there’s a link that’s like Shacknews.

Heh, I searched up “black mesa game review” in google today, a shit ton a reviews popped up, since release, every single review has gotten 80-100% in scores. Pretty damn cool.

I think he meant, that Guard Duty is already in develepment while the articles (probably) state, that these mods are being developed NOW, after BM was such a success.
At least this is how I understood his post. I didn’t read the articles he mentioned, so I could be totally wrong.

There was some dude asking for Blue Shift to be remade, and suggested the title “Guard Duty” for it. He posted again to say he was surprised to have found out (through google or something) that there was already such a mod in the making with the exact title he suggested.
That’s all that was about.
I dont like Guard Duty as i dont like Blue Shift as i don´t like Decay. For me those expansions should not have been made, the only hl expansion that worth it was Opposing Force and i didn´t like it neither.

I was a tad disappointed with Blue Shift, too, I personally think Azure Sheep (HL1 mod) was what Blue Shift should have been.

Thanks to the people behind that project. I could write a novel lenght post about how awesome this is.
But I’ll just tell you that when I first lived that experiment gone wrong at black mesa I was a little 6 years old guy looking at the screen while my terrified father was playing.
I “played” a lot of horror and adult games this way before my father stopped being a hardcore gamer ( the dude was one of the original doom players ! ) and I started being one myself but Half-life has always been the most intense. It has a special place in my memory.
For now tears are streaming down my face as I remember those beautiful times with my padre.
How little I was, how awesome he still is.
How much I’m thankfull for those times with a crowbar or in front of Duke nukem 3D, Resident evil and others.
Times I will remember for the rest of my life.
His save was fucked up at the end of the game so he really never got the chance to finish it ( was at like 80% of the game ).
Can’t wait to see the tears in his eyes when I’ll show this thing to him and I hope he’ll finally play again after almost 15 years of gamer inactivity.
Now I can finally play through this game myself.

I have waited I believe 5 years. I just spent two days trying to figure this out and can’t play. No I’m not a computer geek, but I can build my own computer and put together a slick Access Database. However, I’m not really good on this go here copy this, paste, drop this file open with 7quick (and all that other stuff). So here I sit, after playing the original game back in 94?, I have replayed the original probably 8-10 times. I was really looking forward to this. I am back to playing DOD & DOD Source and have given up for now on playing Black Mesa.

Misunderstood, are you saying you can’t install the game? Or is it installed and you can’t run it?
There is a HELP here if in doubt.
Is not that hard 
just download the “7zip” file and the “exe” file, put them in the same folder and run the “exe”.
