Black Mesa is released!

Late 2013? The most specific anyone has said so far is 2013. My guess would be Q1.

My personal thanks to all the team for this extraordinary project that allowed me to relive with emotion the whole fascinating story of HL.

Thanks to all…

That’s quite confident of you.

ok, maybe Q2 :3

point is, all we know is 2013

I’m still hoping for a correction patch before or during Q1.

We got 2013 for a release date so that means its going to be 2016-2017 right? lol Just kidding…

I’m guessing it means it’s going to be 2013. Remember, they’re not building an entire mod this time, but continuing what they were already doing.
They probably had part of Xen finished already when the mod was released.

…We can only guess and hope.

He said he was thinking that the game files are in the GCF is Black Mesa releases on Steam.

So, for the 1,000,000th time… when is BM being released on Steam?

the fact that the question has gone unanswered so many times should’ve been enough to know not to ask again

I guess we can just use this version on Steam and ‘verify the content data’ to update to the Steam released version?

I can’t help but think that, if it were this simple, the longer-existing mods like NeoTokyo and No More Room in Hell would have already done this.

Played Black Mesa one too many times now. Check the image for the WTF moment I had.

I don’t get the point? I found this on my first playthrough and posted a video a while ago.
This bug has already been fixed according to the bugtracker.

Cheers!

Devs haven’t released an updated build of BM yet.
When it will happen, you’ll probably see that crate replaced with an undestructible prop.

I suspect that Black Mesa will be released on Steam in GCF format and in that case it would not be possible so we’ll have to redownload the game.

I got no problems with this.

Congratulations! Just heard about the release and I am really looking forward to playing the first part and finally hearing the music, too.

A big thanks to the Black Mesa Source team for the years of hard work to make such a huge mod!

The developers are too busy to reply personally to these anymore, but I speak for them all when I say that you’re quite welcome.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
