Black Mesa is released!

Doesn’t a torrent extractor cost money?

It’s pretty awesome

Use this link if you are re-downloading, much faster then anything available at the moment

I shat bricks when i saw how many seeds the torrent had.

You people and your torrents…

LOL…torrent is how piracy exists in software! How can it cost money!? But actually, torrents are a great way of sharing files to the public, that is its main purpose. Just how BM team is sharing their mod with the world!

I’ve been using pirated software for a while, and I never needed no damn torrents!:freeman:

Well then I believe, you haven’t really tasted the true flavor of piracy!

Don’t you start assuming things about me…

Also, I think we should stop talking about this subject, because it’s getting way off-topic.

The heck with it, i’ll just wait until it’s on steam

Just woke up here in South Australia, installing the game!!

I’ll be seeding this for a few days…

At this point… Yeah. If this 8-hour download doesn’t work for me, I’m giving up. :meh:

Downloaded and installed flawlessly. Seeding now and starting the game soon

Can’t stop playing it!

I SWEAR TO JESUS CHRIST…

EDIT: I GIVE THE FUCK UP!!! RRRRRAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Slow download?

Guys…Devs anyone who had a hand in this. Thanks for making the last 5 years (for me) worth it.

For anyone getting stuck on downloading/installing. I did the following:

  1. Installed SDK Base 2007 from Steam /Tools. Exited Steam.

  2. Followed the magnet link posted on the Black Mesa Facebook which automagically opened in my torrent client (utorrent). download took about 3 hours.

  3. Official download consisted of an exe and 7z compressed file. I ran the exe which installed black mesa, then when it finished, it automatically launched Steam and ran the game. ‘Black Mesa’ is now in my Steam games library - I didn’t have to do anything else.

That’s how it’s meant to go and it certainly seems the easiest way.

Its awesome!!!

Yay!

Thank you so much for all your work, I will buy it as soon as it’s on steam.
