Black Mesa: Dormitories

I’m confused, can you please elaborate more on what the project is all about etc. ?

https://www.moddb.com/mods/half-life-induction

Not bad. The rooms look a bit large and empty, though. I’d fill it with something or make it smaller.

Still planning on what to do with most rooms :stuck_out_tongue: .

Is this a mod where the events take place before half life 1 and where you can race with barney to get kleiners key out of his office ? Do I remember right ?

Eeyup, that’s the one.

Maybe you can change the name of your remake? Induction seems like for HL1. Maybe you can coin a new term for this?

Yeah, but I have no idea to what.
Black Mesa: Dormitories?

Black Mesa: 0rigins?

What if we actually did the course not just fade to black?

That’d be actually a good idea.Esspecially since it has been confirmed the course took place on beginning of employment, just as this mod.Though I’m not sure if Crypts wants to merge, esspecially since they got a new writer that has already written a lot of dialogue.

Remove the may 15 in the registration and canon will be fine.
If there will be voice acting in this one. The grammar must be fixed. I noticed in the game (just played today for the first time) that the subtitles are somehow wrong. Maybe you can improve the lines.

Also, the transition to Gordon’s registration to the dormitories is also another fade to black. Maybe you can make Gordon actually with Eli travelling in the tram. For short, maybe you can remove the fade to black transitions and make them as explorations except the point where Gordon slept.

I like that idea. You could have them conversing (one sided, :stuck_out_tongue: ) while walking down some fancy, eye candy corridors, or riding a tram.

You say that like it’s my decision to make or something.

Oh sweet Jesus, yes.

Get the original voice actors and I’ll love you forever and ever.

Ofcourse…If they are willing to help ofcourse  .Still need to figure out who did Kleiner and who did Eli and the other scientists and guards and etc…

I think it was Sisk who did Eli and Hillard who did the scis/Kleiner.

Who will voice act Rosenberg? I’m think Adam Dravean can do it. I just listened to vo/npc/hgrunt_young/HG_medic_outtakes.wav. That could be Rosenberg’s voice.

I think Adam Dravean is the one who voiced the scientist trapped in the elevator that will crash in UC.

EDIT: In the chapter Hardwork, a new door has appeared to link with the new area which the ionization of crystals are happening. How are you going to change it?

I’ll add a new floor probably.Still drawing some things out i.e things that don’t make sense in the original mod.

Same elevator in AM but it will go up rather than down?

Down, since the crystals and shit happens down the test room.
Anyhow blocking out dormitories.Anyone got suggestions or some images I can get inspiration off?

EDIT:ACTUALLY I’m gonna start blocking out the work thing since that already has Sector C in it.

Whats happening with this is it dead or have you done a merge with Hazard course?

Considering it is merged by default in the maps. and you also working on Hazard course

Anyway I watched a video walkthrough of the original mod and I don’t think a remake needs to be anywhere near as long, but I thought some stuff was quite funny in it anyway.
