Nope.
GCF scape uses the Steam interface (IIRC) to load data from the GCF files, and that doesn’t have support for writing to them.

Yeah, and I was saying that GCFScape can only read the files, not write to them.
Steam can probably detect when GCF files are altered and “fix” them by re-downloading the affected parts.
Why would you want to do that? You can just place a model/texture/sound in the appropriate directory, and Steam will automatically give it priority unless it’s broken.
I suppose that this means I didn’t win
