I don’t wanna wait 5 hours for the mod to download! Make it 8mb so I can download in a few minutes with my AOL internet.
bscly
But that’s seven (haha) months old!
One of the devs said recently that its about 7 (haha) gb in size now.
Sorry Cameron I didnt mean to be rude, had quite a headache and when I re-read what I wrote I was like “facepalm” anyway my apologies. But yes I wasnt aware of the cons, but this is for suggestions so yeah
Black Mesa is not a Valve product, GCF format is specific for Valve games you can extract gcf files but you can’t create them
Well that’s one motherfucking nice way to enter the forums.
Now don’t take this as an overwhelming request, but change attitude or GTFO.
Congratulations on not reading his apology directly about your post.
I love how you call him a douchebag while being textbook motherfuckers yourselves. The irony…
As far as I know, the one exception to this rule is the mods that get added as “official games” on Steam. For instance, PiratesVikingsKnights II, Insurgency, etc. However, I’ve heard nothing of the sort planned, other than it might be cool.
@Cameron, synergy has its own GCF.
UH hello, wake up and smell the ashes gordon.
DIPRIP Age of Chivalry, SYNERGY,…
IIRC they don’t have a GCF - when I played them. It installed to your SourceMods folder.
It is possible for them to have a GCF, but ultimately its their decision, and honastly if it will delay the mod further, they should not do it haha. By the way I have been here for a very long time, years before the forum crash I just dont post very often. I just keep an eye on my favorite mod of all time.
Well i would prefer it to be on Steam severs considering that a massive amount of people will be downloading it for a few months… it will rape the bandwidth of this site not to mention download speeds.
A few days for steam to get it together is fine IMO
No it;s not. Mod teams can not create GCF files, only Valve can.
hey Jingles,
you sig : 'There’s one thing you don’t put in a trap… ’
is that a doctor who quote? just wondering unless i am mistaken and from something else , note : nothing wrong with doctor who …well the new one…erm…meh .
Yeah, therandus, it is. I love that line
@Cameron, they changed to have GCfs lately, they used to go into sourcemods though ( i think)
I would imagine that if there is a program that can EXTRACT files from a .gcf then it should be possible to put files into one too.
(I mean aside from the official one that valve uses, obviously)
