BLACK MESA - DVD Sleeves ( Covers / Box Art )

Well it’s not that I don’t like it, I do (and I like how you replicated the HL2 box art), I just don’t think having one type of enemy for a cover fits in a game with so many different enemies that you face.

I’d like to pitch a few ideas
A simple cover like lunertexcosmo’s, but instead of the zombie, have the end of the crowbar upside down upclose with bullsquid blood oozing off the end

or

if someone here’s a good artist, draw Gordon standing like in the HL1 cover but instead holding the MP5, as I agree, simple is best.

That’s a good point. The problem is, Half-Life 1 was so bland in terms of characters (minus Gordon and G-Man) that it’s really hard to pick a “one size fits all” character for the box art. That was one of the things I had to think about but I finally decided on zombie because of the way it looked against the colors.

Here’s one I made a while ago (the HEV suit’s out of date, among other things). Not a full wraparound cover, but I made it in under 3 hours, so yeah.

Well after seeing on the Black Mesa facebook page how many people liked this one that i had done, Old One, I decided to do a newly edited version.
Feedback more then welcome.

That looks good apart from the fact he’s almost smiling while there’s a resonance cascade -that might possibly kill him- happening

That’s what happens… bad-ass’s laugh at dangerous shit.

Cool guys don’t look at cataclysmic resonance cascades.

well on the old one you had an ERSB rating, this is not allowed as itcost load of money for them to test it, in order to rate it

this new one look good but that grey area at the back is is to empty

Yeah I know but I think I just added the ESRB rating to make it look more like a legit box art. On this one I removed anything that was actually un-needed in this one to make it a bit more simpler.

The back cover is based off the HL2:EP covers and it’s on there blank and grey just like that.

Forever your fan

:O Hallo Catz

Hallo!

:runs away before she fecks it up again:

Noooo nooo! don’t show the dead creature on screen like that, it makes Gordon (us) look like an animal hater, poor bullsquid :frowning:

…or maybe it’s a scrab

YEAH! Wait…uhh wut? O_o

Too late! :fffuuu:

Looks like a blurry headcrab to me.

Saw you, now what :stuck_out_tongue:
