A new version of the Black Mesa Animation Revamp has been released. The sound issue with the weapons have been fixed (thanks to Acoma). Even the RPG radar screen and muzzle flash have been fixed.

I like the model pack, but can someone make a default Black Mesa Weapons with Thanez hands (used in this Improvement Pack)? I’m not good in rigging stuff.

Mm. I tried mixing the two didn’t come out how I’d have liked and I can’t isolate the hive hand bug sound when it fired a hornet for the life of me, I just ended up futzing around with it and gave up when I couldn’t get it to sound like I wanted it to.
So the revamp has been released This sounds really cool, but the amount of complaints and bug reports … perhaps it’s safer if I wait for an updated release.

Will anyone edit the weapons font for this? I tried, broke the weapon select(, pulled back in backup). It’s a minor request.
So I like this a lot, and I would have no problem with it but it seems like the “mp5” has less ammo…didn’t it used to have a mag of 50?
And as ignorant as I am I don’t remember how to change it back to an actual MP5.
This pack is brilliant. Everything feels so much more… powerful. The mp5 (or now M4) no longer feels wimpy, and now feels like you are running with a gun. Same with the Glock. I am playing through the entire game with the weapons again, and it feels fantastic. I am playing with a whole bunch of other mods that I recently added as well ( ST uncut, OAR uncut Alpha, Young hgrunt voiceovers, joint ops) so this has been a fantastic playthrough. Anyways, I don’t see the problems that others are having.
Weapon switching fucking sucks with this pack. It takes ages for the draw animation to play on any weapon and as such even throwing a grenade takes longer then it should.
On the other hand, I don’t want to get rid of it because the animations are so nice. I wish I could just make the draw anims skippable by attacking somehow.
In certain FPS-s the switching animation is skipped once we start shooting. Perhaps this should be the way here too.
Other problem is with those grenade launcher under your gun, when none is left, reload animation still plays…
I find it to be a necessary sacrifice. After the M4 animation and sounds, and don’t want to go back.
This is the kinda game that needs snap weapon switching though with that AI that’s basically The Flash with Bullseye taped to his forehead.
