How about this as an idea,We have all the reasourses for the mod,The part where you go into the test chamber and everything goes wrong theres a diffrent path to the story what happens if the test went well and everyone went on with there day and we got to see more of black mesa.

I think (correct me if I’m wrong) the Black Mesa Research Facility was made in a way that no single person was able to see more than a small portion of the facility, save for a select group of individuals. The events after the Resonance Cascade would have been the first time Gordon had experienced all those places.

Interesting idea but not sure how the gameplay would work out lol.

office complex, the level 3 dormitory’s, sector A(training area), the main labs… there are many public areas of the BM facility that are “public” but are never shown something like this would make sense but would be mundane.

The test goes well, Gordon goes through a decontamination room, takes off the suit, does a shitload of paperwork for the next 7 hours, then goes home (in his red dodge viper, as stated in canon), pets his cat Middles, then goes to sleep, roll Black Mesa credits.

CONCEPT:

Gordon does the test.

The results are pretty boring.

Gordon is fired for consistently showing up late.

Gordon becomes obsessed with Black Mesa, and more specifically with getting revenge on it.

Years later, Gordon becomes the G-Man and goes back in time, creating an alternate timeline where the Resonance Cascade happens.

I’m not sure why Gordon is driving to work in that game, honestly. I thought he was residing in the level 3 dormitories. As stated by the PA in the tram.
