Black-Aperture Update

Or, maybe, it was as Laidlaw implied; absolutely nothing of signification and labeled “sequel 3” for reasons entirely unrelated to the sequel to one of their franchises.

I’d like a L4D3, been a while now since L4D2 was released.

We do not SPEAK of Left 4 Dead 3

I’d sure hope they come out with another Half Life before another Left4Dead is released.

Thats not funny…I mean I’m about to throw my keyboard at the wall not funny.

That email was referencing something else entirely. Some game file someone had found that was called “sequel3.file” or something like that.

Also, you can cool your jets about L4D3 Evod. I highly doubt Valve would make a third one, first, because they can’t count to three, and second, because they’ve pretty much explored all of what you can do with that type of game. Doing it again wouldn’t make all that much sense, and would most likely just bore them. And for the record, L4D2 wasn’t really that bad, people just got upset because Valve actually acted like a major game developer for one game.

there is a secret text under the logo, 2012 E3 :expressionless: mabye bms will be on e3?

I was just kidding, I have both L4D and I like them. More of my frustration stems from whether or not something half life related will come this century.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think that this is much of anything. However, people need to actually start reading the responses from various Valve employees more carefully. They have simply not stated that the random things showing up, including the Black-Aperture page, are not marketing. The only thing they have said is that they are not part of an ARG. That is it. They have mastered the art of political double speak, deny but don’t deny, confirm but don’t confirm. My only suggestion is to do what I do, hope for the best (Half Life 2 Episode 3 and Half Life 3 are coming and coming soon) but expect nothing.

I dont know about atramental plateau… simply putting the text “E3 2012” right there in your face, barely hidden, seems way too obvious for them. Not that I think either is legit. I just wonder.

YOU AND ME BOTH!

I enjoyed L4D and L4D2, I would be okay with this, however

I agree with this post as well. If Valve is going to learn to count to three in a game’s title, it should be the series that made them famous gets the honor.

I agree, I just speaking broadly to all the hints and other things such as the Wheatley videos. Look at their response to questions. They simply said that they were part of Portal fiction. The denied without actually denying. Portal is part of the Half Life university. Gabe said as much so that denial means nothing. There are many other examples of Valve employees issuing denials that don’t actually deny much.

So she finally got her acceptance letter?

She had to become a stripper to pay her tuition

Wait!!! It all makes sense now!!!

The next half life is going to take place in a strip club!!!

Prostitution with Portals.

I will wait for this.

Messing with gamma and looking up close, you can make out it showing 8555.

Deduced from:you can clearly make out that the 3 numbers besides the 8 all have the same upper and middle parts alligned(the pixels in the number going horizontal). The only number that has a flat top and a flat middle is a 5, and you see it in the 2 middle numbers and the 5 on the right also gives you a bearing of what it looks like.

What do you make from these numbers though? fuck if i know.

You’re right! (Also my first post :stuck_out_tongue: ) Just by pasting it into my pain.net and zooming in a little viewed an 8 and a 5… And that’s without any major editing. Whatever it means… It better be VALVe sharing something about their next (GOOD :meh  game.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
