Bioshock: Infinite

Sure. But Columbia makes more sense than Rapture?.. Gimme a break.

Who plays games because they are like real life?

Also you wouldn’t be able to play pool or paint a painting that doesn’t look like Jackson Pollock due to the wind shaking everything up.

Communists

I personally think it makes sense enough that you can easily pass it off with Suspension of Disbelief. I mean, you’re probably be too bust looking at the breathtaking balloons, giant propellers, and the whole awesome floating city thing to be thinking about realism. It may not make much sense when you’re talking about it on a forum with only a trailer and a few screenshots to look at, but it’s totally different ingame.

Gameplay.

Looking forward to seeing just how they use that rail system. I really hope it not just occasionally tossed in.

Looks fucking great.

The gameplay looks good, the story seems insane, which is good, but the talking protagonist annoys me to no end. I recognize it can add more emotion, but I just don’t like them.

oh, so you Probably wont be playing Duke Nukem Forever then eh? Sucks to be you.

I REALLY like where the story is headed. Like the old Bioshocks, on steroids. I thought it would just be “Rapture in the Sky” but it seems to be it’s own game. Definitely.

Bioshock is the game of no story. Beat the first one…I do not like most alternate reality storylines that don’t first branch off of our reality. Meaning: NO BACKSTORY or story from before the events = suck. Half-Life 2 however branches off of our reality. One day you are working you know, bam, aliens…Then the story comes. Of course if you count the fictional portal facility built in the 80’s, then there is an exception. But I am sure they could make up a reasonable storyline for that.

Franchises such as WOW. WOW has a lot of storyline elements yes…but the execution of the storyline and repetitiveness and the fact that the game “addicts” people ruins the storyline and any real like for the game for me anyway. It has a shit ton of directions it can go. On the other hand…warhammer is retarded with its “Orks (Warhammer franchise uses both “Orcs” and “Orks”) come from mushrooms” shit. What the fuck are they thinking? Were they on LSD shrooms?

Its different there. Here its actualy trying to express emotion that I as the player will probably not feel. In DN:F, I’ll be feeling badass masscring aliens and the voicing will reflect that. Plus, there is a reason that Half Life will be preferable to DN:F.

In any case, I like the racist overtones.

Welcome to the forums. Excuse anything these guys say, don’t let it ruin your day

:freeman:

Note to self: The expression in my avatar looks flat as hell…even tho that’s caused by the image being sized down.

Uhhh, que?

Grammar aside, welcome to the black mesa forums, it’s safer here.

Actually I believe its for use in hazardous environment conditions.

I love the very fact that the setting of Columbia was so surreal and recognizable at the same time… also the redone morality factor.

Who wants to bet that the game’s ending will involve the sky city epically falling out of the sky?

…Or casting down hellish flames on the filthy land-lubbers? Oooh how about in the end we become air-pirates! That would be awesome.

Looks amazing, can’t wait for this!

I agree that it seems incredible, but it seems much heavier action then Bioshock.
