Human Revolution’s hacking was great.
hacking in games should just be shit like finding passwords on poist it notes or chatting with somone about their pets and mothers maiden name
That would actually be an interesting idea.
But didn’t DX:HR actually do that? I remember people mentioning that you could find the passwords to some of the computers on post-it notes and the like.
Well, on their Pocket Assistants, yes. I never actually bothered to use them because hacking got me more XP.
Watch Dogs might go there.
call of cthulhu, where you have to find out the birthday of the girl for the safe code
Just finished playing the game and while I wont spoil the ending. I will say that the ending was a clever twist and a mindfuck but at the same time to me was underwhelming. I felt like the twist ending should have been in the middle more cause I just feel unsatisfied by it.
I just wanna say this is probably the most… incredible game I’ve ever played. I’ve just finished it and I’m overwhelmed, to say the least.
Irrational deserves every award they get.
The ending’s been a point of contention, certainly… Personally, I think that the game’s plot as a whole was great.
I think the problem is that it’s not… “delivered” quite as solidly as it was in BioShock. In BS1, when you got to the plot twist, everything that had lead up to it, including small details in side areas (i.e. audio diaries), fell into place. It went from a scattered collection of puzzle pieces to a coherent whole, even if there were still some things missing.
With Infinite, the underlying connections between things aren’t as clear unless you play the game again. Going back through it after having seen the ending, I caught onto a lot more details than the first time, and plenty of things made much more sense after the fact.
It’s still a great game, and well-written in my opinion. I think the best way to describe what I felt is that the details just don’t “slide into place” as well as they did in BioShock.
Yup, the ending was pretty amazing. Hell, the whole story was. I liked it more than both bioshocks.
Infinite was very good. I think I liked it so much because it didn’t remind as much as System Shock 2. In Bioshock, all I could think was “yep, kind a like a more shooty SS2” the whole time. This game had a lot more or its own personality.
That said, I did not care as much for how absurdly fast-paced the action was. Generally, if I’m going to have a character build, I like to be more methodical with how I use said build, instead of just frantically scrolling through all my powers in the middle of an insane, Doom-like brawl. And don’t get me wrong, I love fast paced shooters, but it felt out of place here.
I know this post is a month old, but fuck it. That puzzle ruined my life.
I don’t know why I keep opening this thread. It’s practically guaranteed I’m going to get something spoiled for me.
^ same
I don’t know… I guess for me what I really wanted was like an epic boss battle with song bird. I since well we don’t get that in the game it left me kinda like “awww” but I’m really knit picking.
The game is great, the setting is breathtakingly gorgous and meaningful, the story is full of twists and turns that always left me guessing, the combat is good, the characters are good, and in general this game is full of win.
I have to say, this game just climbed to the top of my list of favorite games. Although i actually liked the Columbia in the beginning best.
The ending… No spoilers, but i have to say i couldn’t sleep yesterday, after i completed it.
It’s the new Half Life 2.
The ending blew me away.
I’m really starting to wish I had sixty bucks right now.
I really wish that I get a job so I can start spending some money. I’ve been living on 200SEK($30)/month since August. The job market sucks right now.
I’d get a job but I’m already nearly failing a couple of my classes…
I really don’t need any more stress.
