Yeah I got a key too even if I havn’t played an EA game since C&C 3. And before that it was The Sims 2.
So… I have the MoH limited edition, and BFBC2 ‘limited edition’ (or just the pre-order), but I have yet to pre-order BF3. Does this mean I have alpha access, or have I missed out by not pre-ordering BF3? If I have access right now, how do I claim it? I don’t see anything in my email, steam, or on the shitty EA Origin site. Anyone know a definite answer? I’m getting confused here.

Maybe recons damage is low, tbh I haven’t played as recon. I suck at sniping at every game. But what I can say is at least the assault rifles do too much damage. It’d be ok if this was a corridor shooter but its not. You can’t go anywhere because whenever you try to advance you get lit the fuck up(3D spotting doesn’t help this). Because of this 90% of the games I’ve been in offense loses.

currently you don’t have to update to that version, it’s optional, and you can play on the same servers as before
you have 2 different versions of the game playing on the same servers
conclusion? clientside settings pass over to the server without any checking if those values are legit and you can cheat by setting the damage (by hacking the values ingame) on some weapons to absurdly high values and gain ranks very quickly, the server won’t give a shit and just normally register those hits and apply the damage you gave
or i could just be amazingly wrong and this idea is a bust
