Well I have a 2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo E4500 and 4GB DDR2 with a 8800GT and I run god of war 1 and 2 full speed 60FPS. With the resolution set to x2. 
If a game lags and it says playable, you’re either using an old version of the emulator or you’re using the wrong plugins.

sidenote, of course it’ll run like butter if you’re using the PS2’s native internal resolution… :rolleyes:
Even though that wasn’t the important part of the config, when you up the resolution it uses your GPU more, the CPU usage is the same.
Out of interest, do you change any version/settings for other games?
To get GT4 running properly, you have to use a version of the emulator that’s, well, pretty ancient. The latest gives far more errors
I only change the skipdraw hack to 4 or 5 when there is constant garbage on screen, turn off some speedhax when they are not needed (less likely to crash) and change the resolution when I want it to look nice.
