What are the best looking games in terms of artistic style and graphics? Feel free to include mods as well. I myself think that Crysis 2 looks pretty damn amazing, but I really like Dirt 2’s graphics as well.

We’ve had this thread before. Pretty much every game was compared to Crysis, which was pretty much missing the whole point.

Metro 2033 has some of the best graphics on the PC, if you’re looking past Crysis. (this is how it seemed to me on a recent playthrough anyway)
In terms of combination technical/artistic, I would agree that Uncharted looks very nice. Just Cause 2 also had some really nice island locales. Zeno Clash had a COMPLETELY unique art-style, which I mainly say because it’s difficult to compare it to any one thing.
I think we might also nominate Bioshock Infinite when that comes out.

Glorious art direction, and rediculously good textures
Also, Gran Turismo 4. I dunno, it just had that cinematic look to it, which made it seem beyond what the PS2 could do. I still don’t think it looks that dated
Anyway, TF2 has the best art style, Crysis’ aliens are awesome, blahdey blahdey blah we already did this
Best you can get on PC; Darksiders hands down, nothing comes even close, then Devil may Cry 4, then crysis
Best i saw on consoles but didnt actually play, uncharted , Castelvania Lord of shadows, and God of War 3

Hahano. Are you being serious here? Every screenshot I see ranges from average to terrible looking, art style wise. Also, Yahtzee had a good article on its character design. Seriously, what is the main character wearing?

Cryostasis, if you can get more than 20fps out of it, looks really good. It does with ice what Bioshock did with water.
