Does anyone know any good free games and I mean full free ones not ones like rune scape which sucks unless you pay the monthly fee

League of Legends I have over 300 games played, it’s awesome.

Both games have cash shops but neither of them require you to purchase anything to stay competitive.

Edit: Allods leveling is incredibly slow so fuck it.

Have fun finding something that’s good but also not micro payed. This is the only multi-player game i know of that fits that description https://www.urbanterror.net/news.php. I don’t know if it’s good personally but one of my xfire friends is always playing it. Other then that for single player look for abandon ware or free ware other then that your just going to have to deal with micro payment for free to play. Besides whats not fun about knowing someone had to pay to kill you?

There are quite a few.

The Suffering and Area 51 were both released as free and you can still find the original installers, which require an internet connection but no pay.

Trackmania Nations is fun. Technically it’s a kind of demo, but it supports user created content, so the line gets pretty heavily blurred.

steam also has the 4th episode of Sam and Max for free. I really think the 1st episode would have been better to start out with, but it’s well worth playing.

N and Cave Story mentioned above are some of the best games I’ve ever played, period.

You might also want to check out Knytt, Knytt Stories and Within a Deep Forest

Also, you can get HL2: Death Match and Loast Coast for free if you have access to ANY computer with internet access that has an ATI or NVIDIA graphics card.

Prince of persia: Sands of Time, and Far Cry, are both classics that are free ( ad supported mind you )

Just recently played Which. Scariest game I have ever played and its a free game. Its pretty short, but its very well made.
Also, Echoes is really fun. Its pretty much a Geometry Wars clone. Its also on Xbox Live indie games, but its free for PC users.

Peggle: Extreme, on Steam. Its half life themed Peggle.
Peggle: World of Warcraft Edition is also free, but not on Steam.

damn, it would have been nice to know that far cry was free before I bought it on steam. Admittedly I got it on sale for only $5, but I got it without being totally sure whether I wanted it or not.

I remember searching last year and learning that Far Cry isn’t free anymore. Ubisoft released an ad-supported version but then took down the promotion, so unless I’m mistaken you can’t get them free anymore.

System Shock 2 is out there for free, and legal I think. It’s the HOTU version with lower-quality cinematics, but a great game nonetheless.

You can also get F.E.A.R.: Combat for free, which is just the multiplayer component of F.E.A.R…

Also, the Squid Games are pretty fun, albeit a bit crazy:

It’s free, but rather annoying. Every loading screen has ads and such.

I’ll give another bump for track mania nations. It does have enough content to be a full game. Also for a free game I was blown away by the graphics. (just an FYI te game is heavily nVidia optimized so it runs slow in ATI) Also its got online play (good luck getting in first)

I did eventually buy Trackmania United not because nations was lacking but they managed to make a game that I was willing to pay full price for.
