Battlefield Bad Company 2

This is old news, but some people might not know about it, and I didn’t see a thread so here goes. I came across a code for BFBC2 on the PC a couple days ago, and it takes 20 dollars off the price tag. Brings it down to 30 dollars, which is a good deal if you ask me. I just used the code, and I can vouch for it’s legitimacy. Downloading it right now.

Oh, right. The code is PAXEAST842. Just enter it at eastore.ea.com after you add BFBC2 to your cart.

Yeah a friend told me about this, but I pre-ordered the game so it doesn’t really make a difference to me.

This is cool. It works! Thanks!

$30 is a good deal, is it a good game?

The single player campaign is a bit meh, but that’s not why everyone buys it. The multiplayer is a blast though.

Having played it at a friend’s house (would only let me play single player, though), I would say that yes, it is worth it. I would pay full price for it…but that’s just because I like the Bad Company series. Found the first one more awesome in terms of story, though…but BC2 has a decent enough story.

I thought the story was pretty cliché, I mean how many times can the Russians be the bad guys for no apparent reason other then “Oh hey look, they’re Russian so they must be bad!”. And the bad guys have about as much depth as a kiddies swimming pool. I did find some of the banter between your squadmates quite amusing though. That said, you can breeze through the main story pretty quickly, as it’s quite short. Then you can get to the good stuff, the multiplayer.

The story was quite standard if you ask me, not too exciting but it had it’s moments. Like brokenfridgehinge said above, the squad dialogue was the best. The multiplayer is a lot of fun, the only part I dislike is when you have every base but still lose. Some of the maps annoy me though, specifically when your team is being demolished by three enemy choppers. But, that’s what rockets are for, right?

Edit: Yes, mattemuse, I would call it a good game.

Getting the 4 pack tomorrow on steam, I think the extra $7.50 is worth it to have it on steam without securom.

Great game, blast to play. I have a BFBC2 dedicated Ventrilo and a server, everyone is welcome, if anyone is interested, PM me.

Brother Shrike, you got a recipient for all those extra copies?

Anyway, the story isn’t amazing, like I said, the first one’s story was better…but it’s got it’s moments. It’s passable, at least. Everything single player was better in the first one…but BC2 has more quotable phrases, I think.

Never got to play multiplayer, though…really want to.

Saving up for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. COP. So I won’t be buying this.

If anyone on the PC is interested in adding me, I’m still “Elpants” in BC2. Though I can’t play it for another week on account of it being spring break.

Pretty much. Even I, a multiplayer hater, love it.

lol, I’m one of the recipients. My friend has a debit card, we give him cash, he deposits it, and he buys 4 packs.

Awesome multiplayer, and I liked singleplayer also, even tough it was not that excellent.
I mostly play as recon or medic, but maybe I should try engineer and assault also.

Recon class in tank. Stealth!

I like it, just can’t get into it like MW2’s MP.

Has anyone gotten the Garand to work? I can’t get the Veteran site to acknowledge that I played Battlefield Heroes for 10 minutes today.

Battlefield Heroes doesn’t work for the Veterans feature. It has to be BF 1942, Vietnam, 2, or 2142. Not sure if BC1 or 1943 work, and I’ve heard Vietnam has been having problems…but Heroes will not work.
