Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Destruction

I got the chance to play the battlefield bad company 2 beta on the pc with some friends, and we recorded how far destruction can go.

Awesome stuff!

That game must require one hell of a CPU to handle all this stuff.

'twould be nice to know the specs of your rig.

…

My friend preorder the game, but he didn’t got m1911 pistol :frowning:

Really? 'Cause I could run MW maxed with a C2D E4440 and a 8500GT.

Awesome, thanks for the vid. I was wondering whether full building collapse was an objective only thing or was available throughout.

I have to run this game on medium with fraps or it just gets MURDERED :’(

It is a lot more demanding than MOD2, I would post a vid of it max’d out (excuse the e-penis) but xfire hasn’t registered the beta and I hate FRAPS. Also note hes running it on medium so it maybe why u think it looks like MOD2.

I’m uploading screenshots of Highest settings so you can compare them with cod6 ones.

Anyone here having performance problems? I have been reading the EA BC2 forums and it seems quite common.

I can play Modern Warfare 2 at max settings with 1920x1080 resolution with minimum of 50fps when combat gets goin. But when I play Bad Company 2, I don’t really ever get above 20 while playing, even if I force DirectX9, set it to lowest video settings possible.

But what’s pretty strange is I can set the settings to max and run my native 1920x1080 resolution and not take a big performance hit.

Running a Intel Core2Duo dual core @ 2.6ghz, nVidia 9800gt 512mb, 4gb g.Skill RAM, Windows 7 32bit.

See, the problem is the game is a direct port from consoles.

I have ALMOST the same system as you, but it’s the game that is bad

Mass Effect 1 PC was a direct crappy port, and caused SUPER bad fps problems.

Mass Effect 2 was MADE for the pc and MADE for the xbox, so it consumes less fps.

I feel your pain, being on an awesome comp, wanting to run it at high but getting horrible frame rate :’(

Dice having a HUGE pc community and just shoving a battlefield crappy port into their hands and saying: ā€œHERE, IT HAS CLASSES AND VEHICLES, IT’S BATTLEFIELD. LIKE IT.ā€ is just stupid.

I got chopper playing with me a while back, but I need more friends to play with :meh:

IMO the destruction stuff is not as good as in Red faction Guerrilla

Yea but that multiplayer was shit, and the destruction was unrealistic.

where?

Zero punctuation summed it up quite nicely.

Downloading the XBox 360 demo right now.
Can’t wait to play it! The first one and 1943 was awesome!

I need to download the demo… but my new tv doesn’t come till Monday or Tuesday.
