Battlefield 4

So will they be releasing bug fixes in the form of DLC? huehue

Having that and being a soldier still beats being a programmer, IMHO.

I strongly disagree.

I would strongly disagree. Programmers rarely have extra brain holes made in their head by folks who they don’t know

Got BF4 on PC, experience so far:

 • Singleplayer: very very meh
 • Multiplayer: camping snipers everywhere
 • Both modes: crash-fest

if this does fix things bf4 will officially be back on my black friday wishlist

You should honestly just stay far away from Battlefield if camping snipers are a problem for you.

Nah, I don’t have a problem with camping snipers, I can just stay in cover to avoid them.

It merely struck me as odd to see so few people on the move (other than the ones in tanks and copters) and most of my deaths were at the hands of a sniper.

Programmers can’t do the same to the other guy…

That actually mostly depends on the map. Playing a map like Siege of Shanghai that has loads of rooftops will of course result in a lot of snipers, but if you try a relatively flat map like Paracel Storm, you’ll notice that there are less snipers.

Sure we can; It’s called hacking! :stuck_out_tongue:

Either way this is a silly argument. None of us have any right to be criticizing each others career paths. They all suck equally.
And, you know, programers sometimes need military advisors for stuff? Like Battlefield 4? Which this topic is about?

I know, right? It’s ironic!

Though I somehow doubt they had military advisors…

Medal of Honor apparently had SEALs/Deltas/PJ’s/MARSOC/whatever advising (I heard some of the SEALs even go in trouble for it…), but BF just doesn’t feel like any sort of advising took place…

Maybe it’s because Battlefield was never actually intended to be super realistic but arcade-y?

Yeah, but having to empty a second of dual 20mm (Bloody 2S6M Tunguska’s, man!) fire into a man to kill him is a little overkill, even for an arcade game.

There’s this thing called “balance”. It tends to override realism in games, at least if the devs are smart.

The only game I’ve ever played with realistic ballistics is Kerbal Space Program.

Fucking EA pushing this shit out of the door so early.

CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH

Well that’s what we get for buying it from EA. :stuck_out_tongue:

Balance, OK. I’m more afraid it defeats logic if a high explosive 20mm round can’t kill you in fewer shots than an assault rifle (which are medium-calibers by definition)…

Buuut if it’s balanced, well…

Or any company really. Batman Arkham Origins from WB Games was released with some game breaking bugs. I still want to get that game, but I’m going to wait until those bugs are fixed.

It’s a VIDEO GAME. It defeats logic that you can jump in a tank/jet and operate them like you’ve been doing it for years. It defeats logic that when you die that you respawn.
