back to my Armaverse i go…

I probably won’t buy this.

Given that BF3 already had several 2142 easter eggs, I was assuming a sequel was coming, but instead we are getting…BF3-2.

Seriously, fuck modern settings. A game like 2142 with mechs, better art direction and the capabilities they have now with their sound design would be fucking amazing but noo, instead they go for another modern game in the series - which brings us up to fucking six.

Seriously DICE, why’d you let yourself get absorbed into EA :frowning:

I’ll wait until I actually see shit about the game aside from the fact that its battlefield 4 and might have sea battles before I make any judgement on the game.

TrollField 4, yay!

Still wish they didn’t “balance” TrollField 3.

Still got a feeling the biggest map ever in BF would be a dwarf compared to anything in it’s “biggest of all” league.

They’ve been an internal EA studio from day one.

still no new mirror egde huh

Isn’t that just the old title image with a 4 under the name?

Yeah, they didn’t even bother to change the lighting or anything. Why are people allergic to change

So this is the one where they’re bringing back the commander eh?

Tbh, Idk how to feel. Commander was great back in the day, but do we really want it with this generation of players? I was just playing NSII for the free weekend and it took me four games to get a match with a decent commander and even then no one was actually communicating with him so it was just ordergiver mcbeenplayingforyears single handedly winning the game with us peons shooting some bad guys for 40 minutes. I still loved the game though, I’m definitely gonna buy it, but I kinda like where team coordination is now where everyone is on an even plane. I guess we’ll see.

I also hope the meta game stuff like the gun unlocks work more like Bad Company 2. Slowing the game down for the sake of keeping players longer is just dumb. I’ll unlock everything in the first week and play for years with the same kit and be happy as long as the game is good.

they should do one set in a future all drone war and have the players be fat nerds at computers thousands of miles away from the enemy team

^ Such a game would almost invariably give you a third-person view of the drone, in which case it would be functionally the same as a jet-fighter game.

My guess is that it’s going to be a slightly updated BF3, but aimed at competitive gameplay (so eSports).

nno third person view would be looking at the monitor from over the players shoulder and you can get up from your station and make coffee and take a dump and stuff

Basing purely from no research, baseless speculation, and a mountain of optimism, I’m hoping that the propeller from that trailer means that there will actually be ship vs. ship combat, like the tabletop game Battleship. That would actually be impressive. I can’t see how a company can be so dumb that they would release the exact same game twice in a r- OH WAIT CALL OF DUTY

The game’s hardcore mode would require you to facilitate all of your character’s bodily needs in real time, in addition to flying a drone for hours on end.

Also, you have to fill out 200 pages of paperwork every time you blow up an al-qaeda commander.
