Battlefield 3's System Requirements

God damnit, can’t wait to get home and play.

Anybody make any destruction videos yet? I want to see them demolish stuff in retail, and what GT showed destroyable seemed to be tons more then the beta, but it was brief.

just received my limited edition copy with back to karkand and physical modern warfare pack

i fucking hate that USA gets the game 2 days before europe… god damn it…

Battlefield 3 - My first base jump

:awesome:

oh yeah, time to play

just use torrent (:

the game has a release date check man. sure you can pirate it and play the singleplayer and risk getting banned (yeah yeah 7 firewalls and all that…).

I’m just waiting… there are other things to do.

Won’t get banned. Not even worried.

i dont have firewall?!

lol, 7 firewalls.

I just picked mine up and it’s downloading. It got up to like 15 MBps at one point but now it’s like 2-3 which is still fast. Can’t wait to play.

The servers are shit. I’ve been trying to connect for like 20 years.

I’ve just been playing singleplayer in the meantime.

Apparently most BF games are unplayable right off the bat which is unfortunate.

This has been pretty bug free, actually.

Also, can play it on Ultra at 60 fps, with antialiasing turned off, and who really gives a fuck about that.

Been playing some games in it, not many bugs, runs flawlessly on high.

The Kharg Island map is amazing.

It runs surprisingly well on my Core 2 Duo with most things on high and textures on ultra. There are a few sound (think HL2 in the early days) and graphical stutters, so I’ll need to tweak the settings before hopping into multiplayer. That, or upgrade my mobo/processor/ram earlier than I had planned.

Running it at a constant 60 FPS with everything on high except for textures on ultra, shadows on medium, and no AA.

The singleplayer feels kind of like a tech demo for the engine. And I did not like that jet level. Bout to go play some multiplayer.

Edit: Does anyone know if you can destroy the tower in Caspian Border on Conquest?

I was disappointed in the first level where it’s all “Oh yes, stealth mission gives me a shotgun!” and then immediately a QTE trades the shotgun for an AK.

Yeah I don’t really like the QTEs or the stupid light dust stuff on your screen 75% of the time.

One of the QTEs I failed a few button presses and still succeeded, so at least they’re not like in RE4 where it is way too easy to die in them.

There’s a couple ones where you die if you fuck up once.

All in all, I beat the campaign in 5-6 hours, and it really was actually pretty damn good, in my opinion.

Just ran through all the MP in Rush with 4 friends earlier and the map where you BASE jump 500 meters off a helipad into a foundry-like area seriously has to be experienced. It’s just fucking cool.
