I didn’t know that all BF2 maps were included, just that if you preordered you got Back to Karkland.
Gulf of oman FTW. Lets hope bot support will be for all number of players, not just 16.
That’s because Back to Karkand is a set of like 4 BF2 maps. That’s it. Whoever said that you get all of them is an idiot.
One thing I hope about this game is it doesn’t have third person cutscenes like BC2. They had those third person cutscenes and then even if you were allowed to control the camera there were black bars around the screen and you couldn’t move, though I can kind of understand not letting you move.
I heard back to karkand includes Wake Island remake, now that’s the only map i’m waiting for
Personally I’m looking forward to Gulf of Oman because that’s the first BF2 map I ever played, and Strike at Karkand, so it’s primarily infantry-based.
No idea what I played first, but to this day Strike at Karkand is my all time favorite.
Gulf of Oman was the only level in the demo and the demo was what I played first. It sold the game for me.

Oh shit. Now there’s a strong possibility that BF3 might not end up on Steam.
I won’t buy it through Origin that’s for sure.
Aw, man, i don’t want to buy BF3 on a new, probably buggy and shitty, game thing.
Buy it retail.
With a code for Origin…
Some games on Steam are steam-only too, when you buy them retail.
I want a box copy of BF3, so no problem there.
Funny a Half-Life modder get hired and he is now working in DICE.
Yeah, I just saw that last night. All that work on AoM and CoF paid off and got him noticed. I wonder what he’s working on for BF3?
Well I already preordered it retail because I didn’t want to wait for it to get on Steam. Hopefully it doesn’t need to be redeemed on Origin.
TFA says “Crytek has an agreement with another download service which violates the new rules from Steam and resulted in its expulsion of Crysis 2 from Steam.”
Also BF3 is still going to be on Steam.
Source?
Also any box versions will require either Steam or Origin, probably origin. Just so you know.
EDIT:EDIT: Well fuck it, but basically BioWare is EA published but have stated they will still be putting out games on Steam, so I don’t see why DICE wouldn’t at all, despite the trends.
What people don’t realize is Crysis 2 was pulled for unrelated reasons, while Alice and Star Wars on the other hand just had greedy devs who thought going exclusive with Origin’s mouth watering contract would make them more money.
If Crysis 2 being pulled is unrelated to Origin, as it seems, then things look fine for BF3 being on steam.
