So the sequel to the fantastic Arkham Asylum has finally be confirmed for a 2011 release. I for one can’t wait!

"[i]The sequel, in development by Rocksteady Studios, has players taking Batman into Arkham City, the new maximum security home for all of Gotham City’s criminals. This new prison is described as a heavily fortified walled-prison in the heart of Gotham City.

The game will include story that “draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight,” according to the press release.[/i]"

Batman Arkham Asylum was amazing, but what I’d most like to see from the sequel is more combat. The combat was extremely fun and addicting in Arkham Asylum, but there wasn’t nearly enough of it.

My favorite part of it was how you could mash on X and he would pull crazy awesome seamless combos out of his ass. The animations were perfect.

There need to be more stealth tactics though. More ways to fuck bad guys up from above. The only option in Arkham Asylum was the gargoyles. Although, on my second playthrough, I found out you could sam fisher bad guys from ledges and hang them from ropes. That was neat. More of that!

Yeah, I definitely wanna see more stealth take downs. Just give us a few other options one how best to mess up a thug when we’re looking down on him.
