Awsome Americas Army 3 animations

I was spectating when I noticed something both strange and amazing something I can honestly say I’ve never seen in any other video game to date, the ejection port is visably opening after each round. The detail AA3 has in the weapon animtions is amazing. Take a look:

I also uploaded a video to youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqkMjTccTBk
I mean its obvious the devs put a lot of work into the game and I just think that should be appreciated.
Here is another vid with the m4a1 in slo-mo:

Wait it’s playable? I played it when it was just out. Cruelly buggy. Then I played it maybe a month ago. Couldn’t do a thing because of the “Loading Mission” bug.

It’s semi playable the screenshots are from actual online gameplay but the vid is offline gameplay. The main problem is that the in-game server isn’t accurate. Once you get onto a server it’s great fun(unless you’re a COD4 nut, then it’ll drive you crazy)

I gave up on it. It was so buggy and all of the news about the team getting fired just turned me away from the game.

Thats a shame as you can see, they put a hell of lot of work into it.

But not enough.

The problem was stress on the server NOT an issue with the game itself, besides almost all the problems are sorted out now with 3.0.5. the game is playable

Um, no, it’s not. It may be for you, but for a ton of people (including me) it still freezes constantly, even playing offline, and even after multiple patches. When it doesn’t freeze loading up, it freezes loading a mission. They may have made a game with the best graphics ever, but they clearly didn’t put in enough effort coding and bugtesting.

You’re just trying to convince us to join the army.

I’m not saying it’s the best game ever, in fact I don’t even play it much. It is fun,for me,when I actually get into a good game.I was only stating that the animations, not the graphics, are good and that the DEVS did a good job with them.@Ramirezoid no u

I couldn’t see the visable opening, but it’s probably just me.
It does show they put a lot of effort into the game.

I’m putting up a new vid soon with absolute proof.

Red Orchestra has that too. At least the bolt-action rifles.

You watch the vids?

Yes, and as I said, Red Orchestra has that too.

The problem with AA3 for me was (besides all the obvious game ending bugs) was the graphics. They seem rather grainy compared to, well, any other game. It really bothered me a lot.

yeah the style is supposed to be more realistic as opposed to in COD4 or halo where it looks shiny and almost everything has some reflective sheen to it

And right next to it… look, a misaligned texture on the wall! This is unprecedented detail!

Oh, I’m not bashing it by the way… AA3 is pretty good but severely lacks content. I played for about 2 weeks after they fixed all the huge bugs in the initial release and then grew tired of it.

It’s a shame the environmental detail isn’t as spectacular.

ok, apparently they just released an update that fixes the hang when starting training maps. I’ll try it out when the UT3 free weekend is over…

@Mangled not to be a dick but, if you look closely that is actually not the same wall, it jutts out, get what i mean? But yes they should have put more work into the environments.
