Watched it today and it was really good. The special effects were much better than they looked on the commercials and it was better than I expected. It was really long though. I don’t know if it was because of the length or something else but I usually don’t have to go to the bathroom during movies, though I did for this one  . The war at the end was really cool.

But he spent around 400 to make it. And it’s grossed that much now world wide, to now spend it on the next couple movies he makes.

Am I alone in thinking a sequel will ruin this movie forever?

Yes, why would it? I have no idea what kind of plot the sequel would have, seeing as everything was wrapped up so simplistically in the original, but they aren’t going to invest this much in a franchise just to make one movie. I anticipate a TV series before too long, as well.

There’s going to be a sequel? Why the hell does there always have to be a sequel?

FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU

:rage:

It’s doomed from the beginning, but :fffuuu: anyway.

Can’t wait to watch the movie, but I’m not going to jizz myself over it.

Of course :meh: . I won’t complain though as long as it’s a good movie, though if it’s just crap to milk the franchise then I will complain :3 . The TV series on the other hand is going to suck.

Nope. I fail to see how they could make a sequel out of that. They’d take something that had no plot in the first place and dumb it down because there would be no man torn between his race and the alien race. At least not like in the first one. It would be lame.

James Cameron has generally produced amazing sequels and he does it right.

So far, he has speculated on making a full trilogy. Those movies would contain either the ventures of Jake and Neytiri OR about the other moons you see in the sky during the course of the first movie.

I put full faith in him to produce a sequel. A lot of people said this movie would be shit, looks like they were wrong, a lot of people say the sequel will be shit, they’ll be wrong again.

EDIT: As stated, to produce any material towards this, would be the most expensive television show and doubt it’ll happen. One thing I wouldn’t mind seeing, are books to continue the legacy after the movies are released.

A sequel will kill everything, though it’s easy to see what kind of plot would turn up.

RDA returns with a crapload of military hardware and come back in force to blow up Pandora. Simple. So Jake has to go all :freeman:-style and save his new race. :meh:

The sequel will be about Jake losing his new arms, and having the transfer himself into another new creature to get new arms, and fight off the evil blue creatures trying to take over one of their moons for sacred burial leaves that can only be harvested by killing everything there.

just saw this in 3D. I haven’t been that immersed by a film in a while.

The 3D was very convincing in parts. Probably the closest i’ll come to seeing a guy impaled by a giant arrow right in front of me. And michelle Rodriguez.

also, am i the only one who had to restrain themself from swatting the glowing embers out of my face?

Sherlock Holmes was better
/thread

They’re completely different movies.

Sure you can think Sherlock Holmes was better. But that doesn’t mean /thread.

Well no shit… Sherlock.

And, yeah, Sherlock Holmes is better.

Okay.
