Australian Mirrors and freezone

Hi, i was just wondering if the devs have taken Australian mirrors into consideration. Particularly ones owned by certain ISP’s that count as freezone (doesn’t count towards download limit), ie gamershell iinet mirror for iinet, bigpond downloads for telstra and etc… Nearly all ISP’s in Australia have download limits per month, very different to America I’ve been told; So uploading to a freezone would be very handy for us Australians!

Well I’d say they have thought of that seeing as there are a lot of people from Austrailia that are members here.

GameArena would be a good mirror. Unmetered downloads for Bigpond customers, fast downloads for everyone else and they often host Half-Life 2 mods.

My ISP does not have a freezone, but I have an 80gb limit, so I will be fine :slight_smile:

I’m pretty sure it will be picked up by Valve and put on steam, so those who are with ISP’s that have freezones can take advantage of this. As for me I’m going over to Ram’s house and getting a DVD copy, and to meet the man himself of course. :retard:

I get 1.4mb/s through Steam off any 'Straya mirror, and its highly likely that Valve will release on Steam

LAN Party, Ram’s house. HL series run through.
