It’s not really offensive…it’s just annoying when people go “hey, this sucks!” or “hey, I don’t like this!” without providing any context or reasons why they don’t like something.

On the subject of people complaining that it looks bad; If people are too blind/dumb to realize that it’s highres textures on a low quality screenshot instead of lowres textures on a high quality screenshot, that’s their problem. Same goes for the lower graphics settings.

well i dont give a shit for all the new graphics, as long as it’s somewhat similar to a source engine games quality…
i am just extremely excited in how bms will be designed… because for me… the gameplay is the most important aspect of a game/mod/whatever…
if bms gameplay sucked, bm will suck in general… so… i hope it’s design will be as similar to HL1’s as it could be… (=awesome) don’t forget the roots… most source games suck imo… so please… please make this one source game work out like it should.
bm won’t ever be able to replace hl for me… but you can change half-life’s history…
(bms=bad -> hl1’s clan scene will split even more… oldshoolers will die out completely… competitive HL will die… bms=good -> many hl1 pro gamers will switch to bmdm, form new clans… bm will become a popular multiplayer game… like hl was back in the good old days… maybe a “black mesa: adrenaline gamer mod” will come and add further game modes/settings, wich will allow endless online competition. that would cause bms to be played even a long time after it’s graphics became outdated. it will be timeless like hl1. but a great update on hl1.)
ok… with that said… i wish you a good further progress on your mod, bm team… hope it will work out well! don’t give up! looks awesome so far!

Don’t sweat it. It’s better not to see them now, just wait until they release it and play it directly. The screens are badly done and account as spoil material.
You know, it’s not exactly a spoiler if you have played hl1 before but the screens do kill some of the surprises, in the sense that you get to see things that you were always curious about as to how they look remade from scratch.
Once you see things like the tram or other areas kept hidden until now, it will just make bm less exciting when you are finally going to see it for the first time.
It was a nice plan to keep some key areas hidden until the very last second but atomic took a shit on the devs plans and strategies.
If this was a commercial game, I would have sued atomic to hell and back!

i personally want to try to stay away from BM media of levels until its done. yess i know how HL goes but its a whole different wonder seeing what we all loved 10 years ago updated to a more modern engine all in fluid motion
