You, the devs, have created, almost completed and are now polishing what still seems like a very ambitious and very… impossible mod project.
I’m not offering some strange wisdom here; most of you should know that in such projects, the morale towards the end is really low. Well, at least it was on any multi-year fan project I have been involved in.
People (co-devs) were complaining about low productivity during the final year, talking about quiting, about releasing the damn thing and some of us even got into huge fights. And that was, without having to deal with unforeseen leaks. A leak incident would surely make things worse - no dev would want their work released to the public before they decide it’s ready and are comfortable releasing it themselves.
But my point is: low morale and frustration towards the end seems to be normal. However you decide to proceed and deal with this new leak, keep in mind that this period is supposed to be tough and not everyone acts with a clear mind during it, but you are just steps away from releasing this huge unprecedented mod where you’ve put a lot of effort and invested a lot of time into.
