Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag PC Moved To November

Yeah, the campaign in MoH: A. was a bit shorter than I would have liked. Collecting the various weapon upgrades, drop locations, etc. and doing things in a different order could add a small amount of replayability…

Whacking enemies in the face with a Stielhandgranate was fun
(and seemed to be a faster way to upgrade the grenades than actually throwing them >_> )

I don’t think I ever tried the multiplayer.

On-topic: …uh, I’ve got nothing. Last off-topic post from me >_>

Just played it and got to say, it’s a beautiful game. Without a doubt the best looking AC, not just from a graphics viewpoint (which goes without saying) but in terms of detail, lighting, colour and atmosphere. I’ve explored Havana and out of all the games it feels the most immersive. Can’t wait to explore more. Watching the sun rise on a beach is an impressive spectacle.

My only gripe though, and one which is almost game-breaking, is the free running controls. AC games prior to III gave you 3 levels of movement, from walking, to jogging to sprinting - this actually gave you a surprising amount of control and freedom of movement.

But what we have now is either walking or mad sprinting. I want to jump a few feet to the floor the but game instead sends me flying 20 feet to a ledge I wasn’t even pointing at. Oh and the music is great as well. Best since AC II I think.

Agreed on the walking/running. It’s especially annoying when you’ve got 1 minute to plunder all of the crates on a broken ship. Walking is too slow and when you’re running you end up on the crate/everywhere else, but not in the right spot.

If you just lightly pull the right trigger, he jogs. I don’t like it either though, I prefer the old controls. I will say it is nice that if there isn’t something to jump on to, then he stops.

^ Can’t do that on a PC, Ibanez.

Unless you use a gamepad.

Unless you use an Xbox 360 controller, specifically. I have a PS2 controller adapter hookup that I use for Sonic Generations, Tomb Raider, and the like, but most games don’t support generic Twin USB functionality and require a wired 360 controller, which I don’t have.

Controller? What is that? There’s no such thing in the PC Gaming Master Race dictionary…

(Unless we’re talking HOTAS and flight sims, or steering wheel/pedals and driving, heh…)

well then the PC port is shit sorry to say

its really a game meant to be played with a controller

I did manage a way around the lack of a jog key by simply tapping the sprint/free run key repeatedly. But yeah, Ubisoft’s been rather poor with porting to PC. Supposedly Watch_Dogs was developed with PC as lead platform, so hopefully that will change.

Yesterday I spent the entire evening jogging in AC4 while snickering at this thread.

Sooo, yeah…

I’m the Scourge of the Seven Seas… Also known as The Most Feared Pirate in Czech Republic!

P.S.: Anyone else been called a “fag” just because they BOUGHT AC IV?

I got called a fag for walking around in the city during rush hour, dressed in nothing but pink feathers to cover my crotch area.

But never for buying a game.

You actually get an achievement for getting AC4 illegally.

That’s hilarious if it’s true.

So, is that achievement hidden, or does it not exist, considering I’m not seeing it in the achievement list?

Also, if there was one, it could be seen as “inviting” to obtain it illegally - and you’d have one helluva problem if you wanted to pursue somebody for it.

Considering I haven’t seen it any other place other than these forums. I don’t think it exists.

An achievement for pirating a game about pirates? It should’ve existed.

Yeah, “True Pirate” could be a good name for it…

But as I said earlier - it’d propably generate loads of problems for the authors.
