From my understanding a lot of people are jealous of Norwegians and hate them, instead of writing to their Congressmen and Congresswomen or members of Parliament and saying “Make us more more like Norway. Or at least Sweden.”
Hey, I wrote such a letter to our government every year since I learned how awesome Norway is. By now, I actually get along quite well with the officers that have been posted to watch over me since the third letter. Hannes and Bettina are their names. Hannes has a dog named “Perky”, and Bettina is about to get married to her boyfriend, Jan. I often bring them coffee and muffins in the morning. They are quite fun to chat with. But still our government does not do anything to be more like Norway.
