How am I accusing you of being a hypocrite?
You can’t accuse him because he’s a child? So even if he knew that, by your rules, he shouldn’t be drawing Mohammed, you still wouldn’t accuse him?

Good god I’ve seen this argument spiralling downwards for pages and no resolution is in sight. Shadi, it’s not about “feeding the trolls” as you’ve consistently argued, it’s about people drawing for the sake of drawing and recieving criticism for it. The actual aggresors are the religious extremists, not the anti-religious trolls.
I agree with baconeggs.
so that’s how you guys see it…very well then.
so much for good intentions…
and here’s a very interesting and an Honest drawing of the current situation, it was originally in Arabic but I photoshopped it to English, you may say it’s irrelevant to the subject but you’ll get the Idea.
here’s my edition
and here’s the Original arabic drawing in case you thought I was goofing around with the translation…go ahead translate these words.
You’re missing the point. Muslims have the right to be offended, just like non-Muslims have the right to draw whatever the hell they want.
If you’re offended and you want to do something about it, go right ahead. As long as it’s in a reasonable manner.
I’ve also never heard anyone say that anti-Semitism is a crime. Everyone has the right to say or do anti-Semitic or anti-Islamic things.
The difference is simply that there are more people (in the West, anyway) that are offended by anti-Semitism than there are who are offended by anti-Islam. The result of that is that there will be more backlash against the former than the latter.
Everyone has the right to free speech, which includes drawing Mohammed and criticising those drawings.
This whole issue is based on the violent reaction from some Muslims. Buildings were burned, for god’s sake.
I am offended about people believing in religious dogma.
But does that give me the right to threaten the Pope with death?
Hell, no!
And I’d really want to…
The intention of the artist was good. The interpretation of the Muslims wasn’t.
What were his intentions?
The same as the what Shadi said at the beginning of this thread: Show that terrorists are abusing the person of Muhammad and turning him into a terrorist, they’re twisting and turning a holy scripture/the prophet into a tool of hate.
I see. That just makes this debacle all the more ridiculous.
debacle wasn’t in the spellchecker :hmph:
a valid point, but do we really know that it was his intention ?
How do you really know it wasn’t?
Anyway, he claims that was his intention, but I do realize that “because he said so” probably isn’t valid argument.
Who says that being Anti-Islam is okay?
Zionists ? and no am not biased, I’ve seen\heard\researched this matter, however, I do not generalize Zionists with Jews cause I know that there are many jews who wants to be at peace with Muslims
Because Zionists are the west, right?
literally no, but in media ? sure they do
I really don’t see your point Shadi. I don’t think I can make mine any clearer either.
wasn’t arguing about your point . was talking to Chrillen
I’m not sure I get what you mean
my bad
