One of my best childhood friends was an African muslim. The only darkskinned pupil in our school. We never spoke about religion very much, I just noticed he was not there in our “catholic religion” lessons. So I asked him why, and he told me he was a muslim. I asked him what that was, and he said he also believed in God, but where he came from, they called him Allah. So I asked him what that’s supposed to mean, and he said: “The Lord”.
I said: “That’s exactly the same as we call him!” and he shrugged his shoulders. Then we continued playing.
Maybe his parents weren’t strict enough with him?
of course we do ! even Mohammad himself warned us about them a thousands years ago ,in one oh his hadiths he says that in a certain time a group of Muslims will come out and destroy the image of Islam for their personal agendas ,he called this group “AL Khawareg” which it’s roughly translate into : the outsiders “Al-Qaeda” rings a bell ? this group does not represent Islam thay are more than to us than to you.

Of course they SHOULDN’T be stricter about anything. I was just saying: Suppose the making of friends outside of the Islam would be true, in that case his parents would have been not strict enough.

Do you think that the Quran is a little misleading at parts? While I know that the origional intention of the Quran is to spread the word of Islam peacefully, I read a few paragraphs, and could in some ways see where the extremists could be mislead.
It is the same for every religion, but what is your view on this?

I would also like some clarification on the inner vs. outer jihad. I know the basic idea, but could you go into some more detail about it?

the extremists bastards use certain verses to justify their horrible acts ,but that’s wrong ,in the Quran where it says to fight those who fight us ,most of these verses were referring to the early days of Islam where the enemy was all around it,
as for Jihad : the Basic meaning of it in Arabic is “struggle” like to struggle to do something
there are different types of Jihad in Islam and I’ll list them here “IN ORDER” :
1-Jihad in Heart : if you can’t do anything publicly do it in your heart
2-Jihad in Tongue : you obviously know what that means
3-Jihad in Money : if you can’t fight or don’t know how to speak probably use your money to help the poor or charities
4-and lastly Jihad by Sword : this is the last option available to fend off enemies, this type of Jihad is used to defend the lands of Islam and to expel the invaders ,now some of you may say Islam was spread by the sword and that is totally wrong ,Islam wasn’t spread by sword and History proves it ,it was spread by the tongue

Islam didn’t split from Christianity at all. They started out as totally different religions in the first place. Islam is not a spin-off of Christianity. Saying otherwise could seriously hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.
