Ask a Muslim!

yea, that’s why europeans came to the middle east during the dark ages to study…gimme a break

that’s right you’re right and we’re always wrong, we never did anything good ever, some of you guys are actually ignorant, including you Bolteh, if want to know about something “delve into it” not just only observing it from the outside. you said Islamic science is a twisted science and shaped to fit personal beliefs, where did you get that from ? please be kind enough and point out this “twisted science”.

The Dark Ages… Christianity banned any form of science, the Islam did not. Obviously, many European scientists went to the Middle East to study. But I fail to see how this makes Islamic science proper science. It’s not because they were/are more open minded to science than the Church, that they actually accept proper science when it clashes with what the Qur’an says.

Well:

Twisted science. Right there.

Well he’s right about us being better than angels, we can wreck their shit up.

Yes, that’s exactly what we said.

From you.

God, this is an idiotic discussion.

Shadi, science is science, there is no “Islamic Science”.

Indeed. Shadi, no one is downplaying Arabic culture’s role in science (in the past and probably also in the present). We’re merely stating that it is no longer proper science when it begins blindly accepting things from the Qur’an, especially when it directly contradicts science.

I believe this might clear some stuff for you

waste 5 minutes of your life and kindly read it

and this, where is our main concern, now what I really need from you, esp daniel, Soup and Bolteh to read it with honesty not just like…“meh do I have to read this crap”,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_creationism
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qur%27an_and_Science

The first thing I did when reading those links when check on the theory of man evolving from apes. And what do I find?

“The Muslim thinkers state that ape then evolved into a lower kind of a barbarian man. He then became a superior human being. Man becomes a saint, a prophet. He evolves into a higher stage and becomes an angel. The one higher to angels is indeed none but God. Everything begins from Him and everything returns to Him.”

Where’s the clay? Where’s the “we do not believe that man evolved from apes”, where’s the “Allah created man as a unique creature”?

Sounds to me like you don’t even know what the Muslim way of thinking is, Shadi. Why are you acting like you do?

All of that confirms that there is no such thing as Islamic science, but rather that Muslims practice science and have played a very important role in its development.

“the Islamic view of science and nature is continuous with that of religion and God.”

This.

And this.

you know what guys, I think you’re right…I am getting off the track, am going off of this thread for a couple of days to do some research on Islam & Science and the whole creation Subject so…feel free to discuss anything here while am not around.

So…who remembers Lays chips?

Remember? I ate some of them just a few days ago.

Fuck you America, fuck you.

Haha, you don’t have them anymore?

Well if it’s like in England, they’re not called Lays anymore. Walkers are their new name IIRC. Anyways, they’re still called Lays here.

There’s Lays here in socialist communist god-hating Seattle.

it’s all about the trader joe’s kettle chips

They got rebranded as “Thins”, but they took away most of the orginial Lays flavours. Texas barbecue was the shit.
