Atomic Waffle: I re-ask: How and when did you tell your family, and how did they react?
Waffle, I have some enquiries.
You say you told them New Years 09, so it’s been a year.
Your father has been silent, your mother was upset enough to cry. And from what I can tell, it’s never come up since. Correct?
I struggle on a day to day basis on if, how and when I should tell my family. I have known my father’s opinions on “faggots” for years now and my mother while she doesn’t vocalize her opinion, I feel she agrees with my father. For the past 2 1/2 years I have been able to keep male partners a secret with ease as I live most of the year a 4 hours drive across state. My brother is a little more open minded and progressive than my parents, but he still spits in disgust at the thought of a gay individual. I also plan on living with him before the end of Spring. So I hope you, compared to anyone else here can understand my fear of being rejected and disowned.
So my honest question to you is.
What did you know of your family’s opinions on Homosexuality prior to you coming out to them? If you knew they were extremely negative, were you afraid of rejection? How long did you struggle with your thoughts on telling them?
You also say you had told your brother in advance to the rest of the family, if I may ask, why is this?
I say, the more homos the better… just leaves more rampant totty for us real men
EDIT:
I think you mean enquiries (ie informal questions), as opposed to inquiries (as in a police investigation).
:fffuuu:
Yeah yeah, it happens when a post is written after some drinking.
Edit, I looked it up (dictionary.com) and both have the exact same definition.
Not in the UK they don’t.
HAHAHA WIN!!!
Okay, Sulu wins the thread.
Wait I thought Sulu was married and had children
Or maybe he adopted :awesome:
Camouflage, baby…
We can all pass when we want to.
Some thread-related Lulz:
Are you gay?
What does the bible have against modesty? That seems like it might be a virtue wouldn’t it? I thought Jesus was a big supporter of the meek.
Yeah, I think it should have said “about” instead of “against.” Would have been so true.
I read that picture after it was first posted, kinda confused me but if you think of it the way Shrike says, it clicks.
I do enjoy the last motivational pic though.
Luv your sig, mate.
By the way, am I the only one that does NOT find Carrie Prejean attractive, at all?
