Awesome, now we just need to figure out what to do with those.
21 numbers, sum 1404, <- OUR CODE??!
Canāt be sure, but could work. Still, what code? We donāt even know that, which is why weāve been assuming itās some message.
I think I just thought of something that might help you guys. The note mentions ācodes ABCDā. There are four sections of the questionable ethics lab, obviously marked A, B, C, and D respectively. Our first note was found in A, while the number puzzle was found in D. We never actually visit C, but the door to C is right next to the stairs clue C was found under.
I have a sneaking suspicion our last puzzle will be in section B of the lab. I canāt seem to find anything there however, maybe with a more precise area to look for that clue, it may help.
Also, could this mean anything?

^This was in section A though, and no pizza of Dr. Horn note around either.
God, this looks as convoluted as Minervaās meta-puzzles. PROOF OF VALVE INVOLVEMENT?!?

ā¦ And now Cman2k is reading this thread.
oh boy
Thatās interesting.
HALF-LIFE 3 CONFIRMED?!?!? OMGGGMDGUAIGOWIUFWOI :fffuuu::fffuuu::fffuuu::fffuuu: haha
Brilliant theory Dino_Yoshi13, looking into that nowā¦
283 + 252 =535
252 - 363 = -111
252 - 121 = 131
2540256
And er. I got nothing.
Did I mention sleep deprivation?
Hum, Iām thinking that is just random gibberish. Looks a lot like what I do with the calculator when Iām bored.
Also thereās a taco in the surgery room. Any else of interest in there?
A G-man sighting in an inaccessible room with a āthe pizza is a lieā on the wall. Maybe look at that more closely?
GMAN on a numpad is 4626 ā¦there are lots of ways to get random 4 digit numbers. <_<
When it comes to cryptology some times it looks like random gibberish. I have been spending the past 7 years trying to decode some encrypted messages that has been encoded since 1944 and super computers still havent cracked them.
Then again when I saw the wall of numbers in groups of five characters I had to say that seemed quite a bit like the cryptology I take part in. I have many many personal documents Ive encrypted myself.
Too bad this doesnt use letters I am tempted to try them in some of my cypher machines and see what I get.
Could you elaborate?
I thought you were a gun nut, but now youāre a cryptology nut, apparently.
Maybe he hides his guns and then leaves cryptic messages as to their whereabouts. lol
Sounds cool, do it anyway.
Keyboard from ingame top, ep2 keyboard botton.

Spotted this in Easter eggs thread. Keyboard is slightly different to the one found in HL2 ep2.
I was referring to the last āpuzzleā (283 + 252 = 535ā¦). That one seemed too much like playing with symmetric numbers to be an actual code.
But about the long sequence, I was pretty sure it was one-time pad, but for that we would need a key (we are most likely not supposed to brute-force an almost unbreakable cipher) and a way to convert back from numbers to letters. Since the message seems to be divided in two sections, I thought maybe the first was the key itself (we would loop it to cover for the longer section), but I canāt be sure unless I find out how to translate the numbers into letters. I tried the most common checkboard settings, but none seemed to work. The resulting number sequence seemed even less entropic, however, so Iām still optimistic about the method.
Feel free to try whatever, since youāre the expertā¦
Actually I have interest in anything military, weaponry, and automotive. The cypher machines I have are all government/military models. I have a BC-52 model, a Enigma model, and a TSEC KL-7. Out of preference I use the Enigma for all my encoding needs. Sure the technology is from the 40`s but the 4 rotor Kriegsmarine version is almost un-decodeable even to this day.
lol Nope, I leave sensitive information such as bank routing numbers, and important personal information encoded. If someone were to get a hold of my 1TB external hard drive and view my documents they would just seem something like this.
This here I would be suprised if someone was able to crack this but this is how most of my information appears on my hard drive. Reason I say suprised is cause the key used to decode the message is actually encoded into the message along with the key for the settings to be used on the Enigma which are one day throw away codes.
But what I will try to do is assign letters to the numbers and use the base setting on my cypher machines and see what I get out of them.
Yeah Iām calling bullshit, according to what I can find Enigma machines usually sell for for more than $100,000.
Edit: Sorry to drift off-topic here, guys. Also I think I just double-posted, sorry.
