[ARG] The Pizza Code Mystery

Blast Pit, go search Blast Pit. I don’t remember seeing any findings from there yet, and he worked on that.

Idea: that five-digit extension on the AM whiteboard might be part of the matrix we need to solve that long sequence of numbers.

Hey. Just finished BMS, found this thread. Very interesting. Gonna spend some time looking around blast pit for you guys. If i find anything, i’ll let you know ^^

blast pit has nothing already searched the hell out of it.

Fair enough. Guess i should look elsewhere. Any suggestions? :slight_smile:

Noticed you asking who NB was. NB basically means “Please Note” or “Pay Attention”
Also this thread has gained 2 pages while I read it.

So… how goes that decoding, guys?

It does seem like there could be one missing from that big long group. or it could just be that’s where it ended.

Also, I mis-spoke before, splitting the glyphs into two parts yields 9 different symbols. 1-9 with no 0?

It’s probably not the missing part, since there are 5 missing numbers and the extension has 6.

STORMSEEKER IS READING THIS THREAD!

EVERYBODY RUN! AAAGHH :aah:

He’s been in and out non-stop since this started… seeing as it’s his baby and all. :3

Here’s the string split up btw.

The 9 symbols are _ ¯ = ┌ ┐ └ ┘ [ ] with / to divide them.

_ ] / = ┘ / ┌ = / ┌ ¯ / ¯ = / ¯ _ / _ = / ┌ ¯ / [ ¯ / ¯ ] / = ] / └ = / ¯ ] / └ = / ┌ ┌ / [ ] / └ = / [ = / [ ┐ / ┌ ] / [ _

Well, I meant that if we need a code grid to solve it, maybe that’s one of the rows or columns.

Well, the seven-segment display idea’s only possible reading gives the solution debybtypyapbtyzμtyλq or de6y8typyapbt4zμtkλ9 or any combination. Doesn’t help much, but still could be some sort of password or key.

I’m betting on the composite symbol idea now.

Has anyone else noticed in the large number grid that 9 seems to be the most prevailant number? its everywhere. not sure if thats important or not. just throwing it out there.

Even if we can figure out which symbol is which number, that still leaves us numbers from 11-99 (w/o zeros) which is way more than 26 letters. Hmm

I actually ran a frequency analysis on it and didn’t notice anything, but then, I don’t quite know what to look for.

As did I, came up with:

1 - 93
2 - 28
3 - 73
4 - 49
5 - 36
6 - 14
7 - 38
8 - 62
9 - 119
0 - 33

Actually, one thing that has been bothering me much is that the big undeciphered message is not very entropic/random, which should not be the case with one-time pad.

EDIT: Well, was a waste posting this after other people.

I see lambda in there. Perhaps a cipher or something. i.e. move all letters over x letters along the alphabet a->b b->c etc.

Derp, I think I might have just figured out what symbols are what numbers…

It’s similar to the first cipher. Take a tic-tac-toe board and fill it in 1-9
┘ = 1
_ = 2
└ = 3
] = 4
= = 5
[ = 6
┐ = 7
¯ = 8
┌ = 9

24/51/95/98/85/82/25/98/68/84/54/35/84/35/99/64/35/65/67/94/62

[Might want to double check me on the original splits as well as the symbol to number conversion just to be sure its all correct.]
