It was already mentioned, in the first post solving the Philosopher’s Stone code.
Oh. Heh.
I’m making a fool of myself right now, aren’t I?
Hi there, i’ve missed TOO much progress.
I’m here to help.
I let you know if some message comes out.
So far, what dates had you try? In order not to overwork.
And are you trying with some special ID?
That wasn’t the calender i was referring to in my earlier post. I may have used the wrong word, as i don’t remember what it is exactly lol. But it’s not the calenders you guys are referring to with the circled December 25th. There is an image or board, or something on one of the walls in an office in QE, and it explicitly has a complete date on it and has small pictures of the scientists, as well as other places in BM. I can’t give you guys an image because i’m at work, but if i’m remembering it correctly, it might be a good starting point for a date.
the year is covered up in that I believe…
March 199- I think
I’ll check out the rest of the lyrics as well to see if I can see anything interesting.
EDIT: “Can you hear that engine
Woe can you hear that engine drone” is all I’ve got so far. Here’s the link so that you can check it through yourselves:

There was aboard with a date and picture on it; I believe that it said "june 199-, with the last character obscured.
I think I know what you’re talking about. During my first playthrough, I figured the Black Mesa Devs just added it to poke a little fun at the fact that Valve never released the exact date of the Black Mesa incident and just left you with “May 16th, 200-”.
:fffuuu:There’s so much that might be relevant… but it has just as much chance of being just not relevant. The whole game is so detailed it’s tricky and there’s so many neat touches and easter eggs…
EDIT - I guess this is why they call it an ARG! (ba-dumm-pssh)
Alternate reality game? I don’t get it.
ARG as in an interjection.
“ARG!”
Why is the Van Morrison song any more relevant than, say, the Harry Potter book?
Oh I get it. I say ‘argh’ all the time!
Edit: for perfectly legitimate reasons, I assure you.
The Philosopher’s Stone is also the name of one of Van Morrison’s albums. Maybe one of the numbers corresponds to the track listing.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Philosopher%27s_Stone_%28album%29
It’s also the name of the first Harry Potter book, so maybe the ID number is 1!
Or someone could do some research about the actual Philosopher’s Stone, instead of albums and books. I’ll do it, btw.
EDIT: I found some things, some relevant, other may be.
Here’s some different names, give a word if they make any sense:
Philosopher’s Stone (ofc), Lapis Philosohorum (as said), Magnum Opis, Cintamanti
I remember we talked about possible bible references, and it says that it’s written about in psalm 118
Relevant:
Two quotes of descriptions: “It is often said to be orange” and “Transparent and glass-like”, sound familiar??
Just a random point, but if you make a matrix out of the four codes:
[1, 0, 0, 1
0, 8, 5, 1
3, 9, 1, 4
1, 2, 8, 8]
. . . and take the determinant of that matrix, it turns out to be -243. I know this is thinking WAYYYY too far into it, but just an interesting tidbit I thought I’d share in case it, for some reason, sparks a thought.
Yeah, do enough math, and anything can seem to be meaningful.
Interesting. Someone should analyse the model/textures ect. of the test sample and see if anything is hidden.
Sure, but still, it could simply be a reference. But it’s worth a try.
