The most current publicly-available news is that Xen is being worked on, will be a free addition to the purchased retail version, and will be greatly expanded from its Half-Life 1 predecessor. It’ll be released “when it’s done”.
Every time someone asks about Xen, another month is added to its development.
I imagen people asking indeed has influence on added development time.
Keep that inmind the next time you wonder about this so you can build up patience & this can likely go faster.
I’m not sure if this is true. Do we really know that we’d know if Xen collapsed?
