anomalous materials - crash

:frowning: my game crashes everytime i put the crystal in the machine and destoys the facilities! why is it crashing? someone please tell me or give me a save game in the beginning of the unforeseen consequences chapter

What are your system specs?
Also, you can use the console command “sv_unlockedchapters 3” then start a new game beginning from UC.

dude if my computer doesn’t have the minimal system specs to run black mesa don®t you think the game would have crashed in the moment i click new game? I played half-life 2 and both expansions (episode 1 and 2), Tomb Raider Anniversary and Legend and it worked very well

Operating System: Windows 7
Processor: Genuine IntelÂź T2250 @ 1.73GHz 1.73GHz
RAM: 1,00GB
Graphics Card: Mobile IntelÂź 945 Express Chipset Family

Can you explain me how to enable the console in the game? i tried and i don’t know how :stuck_out_tongue:

Not exactly, that’s not how programs work. Anyway, you only barely the minimum requirements for Episode Two, bordering on not meeting them. Combine that with the fact that Black Mesa is a good deal more intensive than Episode Two and your problem becomes obvious. The resonance cascade during Anom. Mats. uses a lot of resources, which is my guess as to why you’re crashing. Might wanna consider upgrading, you get a big improvement for a couple hundred.

Anyway, to enable the console, go to the Options>Keyboard>Advanced and tick the Enable Dev Console box. From then you can press ~ (usually just left of the 1 key) to bring up the console.

What he said.

Thanks. I think you are correct that part when explodes everything must be too much powerful for my pc but i will try to play black mesa by unlocking chapter 3. i love half-life games. i played them all and i am going to be disapointed if i can’t play black mesa.

sorry for bad english :retard:

The resonance cascade crashes your game. :bulb:

But even getting passed the RC might not help. After the RC, the system requirements do increase. You probably won’t have enough power to play the game. You may have to update your computer or reduce your quality

i play the game in minimal graphics mode. and i can’t enable the console, i went to Options>Keyboard>Advanced and ticked the Enable Dev Console box, but isn’t working.

I know you probably did already, but did you hit the ~ key? (Usually on the top-left of the keyboard)

After some discussion and various testing with OP, we’ve come to the conclusion that his PC just can’t handle it. :frowning:

it’s sad i wanted to play the game. i installed steam and created an account just to play black mesa

Enfim
au m enos posso ver no youtube os gameplays :[

For those who don’t understand portuguese, I basically told him to try and get one more GB of ram to see if he can play without crashing at least.

He’s running a mobile Intel 945 chipset and he has 1GB already installed.
Since it’s a notebook, he only has 2 memory slots and both would be filled right now with 512MB modules. He’ll have to purchase two 1GB SODIMMs and remove the two already in there.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
