an idea I've had for a while...

has anyone else ever considered somehow porting features of Black Mesa such as the face creation system or the deathcam into HL2/episodes? My computer impotence stops me from doing anything whatsoever, nor do I even know if it’s possible. but I thought it might be a good idea to see what you peoples think.

PS: I did a search, nothing, sorry if this has come up before.

PPS: I considered putting this in the suggestion box but I figured it’s not directly related to the mod.

PPPS: Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggessting that the Devs do this; I’m just seeing if anyone in general has ever thought of this also.

good Idea, but I don’t think anyone can do that, you require a lot of skill and time to do it =], but nice Idea man

I’ve always been hoping Valve would make Black Mesa an official game (though still free, unless maybe when you want to download it through Steam or something, idk), and then bring all the HL games up to date with each other.

But that seems pretty unlikely.

You need two things to get this working.

  1. A talented programmer who knows source.
  2. A talented modeler who knows source.

Problem is finding 1 and 2.

Yeah, good luck getting 'em. After this thing’s released, they’re probably going to take a good long vacation in Mexico, complaining about salt in their margaritas.

“I asked for a mai tai, and they brought me a pina colada, and I said no salt, NO salt for the margarita, but it had salt on it, big grains of salt, floating in the glass…”[/SIZE]
