So it’s back, or atleast, will be soon. Closed beta is happening appearently, and my better half is monitoring K2’s forums like a hawk right now.
I got the email too. Apparently we can get our characters back, too. This would be great, except I moved and now my internet has 1000ms ping. Fantastic. Well, if I manage to find someplace I can jack bandwidth, I might try to play.
i just got a beta key. awesome. 
I will be watching this tread, as I’m sure someone will be extremely happy when it comes out of beta and goes live. And when I say someone, I mean rot. (at the very least)

APB was awesome, got so much stick from the general gaming community though. Glad someone is bringing it back. Annoyed I missed the closed Beta sign up.

I don’t think anyone’s happy about who brought it back, but we will see how they do. They are making it sound like players will be able to get everything at a normal subscription price. To be clear, my writing this does not mean I totally believe it yet though.
It will probably start out reasonable then slowly they will move more and more stuff to pay req and bump prices of certain things up.

You can register an account now. You can even download the game, and I remember Neume (The producer) mentioning something about a way for players to get into closed beta still. There are no more forseeable progression wipes.
Do old clients downloaded through Steam work?
