yeah, this is pretty damn great. It’s a shame about all the ripped content. If using the AVP/ Alien IP doesn’t get the guy the C&D, the assets will.

Well, I would hope so, given Colonial Marines isn’t just one guy doing it in his spare time for free. That would be pretty inexcusable on GBX’s part if this was better.
It looks pretty faithful to AvP 99, albeit without the ludicrous running speed, which makes me happy. AvP 99 is one of the few games that
actually manages to scare me, which is weird given that I’ve gotten used to seeing Xenos as “cool” rather then scary.
Also Xal, I believe he said he is replacing the assets with custom ones, so the C&D would be from the IP usage.
Wow, this looks awesome. I’m a sucker for AvP99. It had a tense atmosphere that I haven’t yet seen in any other game. I hope this gets completed.
You should check out the original game on steam(it has graphics mods that aren’t too bad looking if you can’t stand the gfx)

not in this universe. The game looks anything but terrible. Not perfect, sure. Not authentic, sure. Terrible? You’ve got to be fucking joking. I’d chalk that up to the “never really played a game that’s actually bad” syndrome. Speaking of, have the “worst/best games you’ve ever played” threads been rebooted yet?

Based on every piece of media released so far, the game is ugly, painfully linear, QTE-filled, poorly written, badly voice acted, and does exactly nothing new.
And I’m not the only one who thinks so. Every time the game pops up on RPS, pretty much everyone is in agreement that it looks like a pile. No one was more excited for that game than me, and no one has been more let down by what’s been shown. I’ll still buy it on the off chance I’m wrong, but I don’t have a ton of hope.
