Ah, er, how many versions of HL for pc?

So, yeah, I reinstalled half life a few days ago ( Found it in one of my old cd’s :stuck_out_tongue: ) and, I don’t know which version im playing, the orignal, the remake? The source version? :S :S

What confuses me the most is the weapons models! They’re so different from what I remember O_o the shotgun is different, the mp-5 is different, the granade, the glock, even the granade is diff…and the game doesn’t look like it has source graphics…so wtf im playing? :S

The mp-5 is so ugly, I want the one I remember (this is the one I want : )

example :

Yeah I could google but, I totally rather a Home-made explanation =P

Looks like the HD model pack to me, if I had to guess

HD Pack. I can tell from the grenade and the lack of “Source water.”

So I’m playing the original half life with the HD pack?

Yeah. I’m not sure how you’re playing it WITH the HD pack right out of the box, but I’m sure it’s the HD pack.

If you are playing with the HD pack then that would explain the ugly “MP5” as it would be a M4. So I pose a question, is it a M4?

Exactly! it’s an m4, but I didn’t know the HD pack remplaced the weapons, I thought it was just the characters models

Nope, it’s a whole bunch of stuff, most of the models in the game I think.

Any way to uninstall it without Reinstalling the whole game?

Plug the game’s CD code into Steam and you get the most up-to-date version.

THIS

my freind who doesnt use steam lent me his generation set, so, being the bastard of a freind i am, shoved his keys into my steam and vwola!

Then i told him and he didnt give a shit.

Once you have this game associated to a real steam account, see this info:

Installing / Uninstalling the Half-Life Hi-Def Model Pack

I don’t know how the fuck you managed to play it HD with the mp5, but yeah, it’s probably HD.

It’s not MP5, it’s M4. :meh: Read the posts above you.
