I believe he shall appear there …I know G-man has some plans with him …maybe he´ll be a great help to Alyx and Gordon …because the Black Mesa incident is a past, there´s no reason for Shephard to eliminate Freeman …what do you guys think ?
Êxactly what I thought!
No shep in ep3. When valve said there would be a character from BM in ep2 everyone was like fapfapfap OMGitzgunnabeshepard and then BAM a brand new character. Then all the shep fanboys were dissapoint
So go replay opforce and stop posting about him.
I seriously wanted to post that pic, after I saw the title of this thread.
I though it was Shepard in Mass Effect 3 for some reason, now i’m disapoint
I knew this reaction would come …people are sooo predictable …nevermind…
“What is this thread? Some type of SWARD!”

then why did you post it?
Because he likes to annoy people. There’s a word for that actually, but right now it escapes me…
nah, I think he’s just an idiot.
I don’t even think the main HL team cares about Adrian Shephard.
same thoughts here :3
Gearbox made Shepard, not Valve.
Valve doesn’t even consider stupid things like that. They already a have a huge to do list when it comes to Episode 3.
Valve have stated there is no Adrian Shephard project going on.
As someone said just above, Gearbox was behind OP4, not Valve. Gearbox isn’t even considered canon, so why would they put it’s protagonist in Ep3 or, way later, HL3?
I think Valve stated somewhere, although Opposing Force was developed by Gearbox, that they added Adrian Shephard to the official list of Half Life characters. So he basically exists in the Half Life universe, and not just in the Addon.
Still need to find that quote…
Adrian won’t return, not enough people care about him, NPC’s I mean, if he entered the HL2 universe who would remember him? What would be his purpose?
Years back, in an interview around the time of the Orange Box, a question came up about the Gearbox expansions, and they laughingly dismissed doing anything with Gina and Colette from Decay, but also said “We haven’t forgotten about Adrian. We might still do something with him at some point.” Pretty noncomittal, but also certainly not “Gearbox stuff is non-canon and we won’t use any of it.”
The guy has been on the boxart of several re-releases of Half-Life (compilations that included HL and Opfor, and then the next compilations that had blue shift, etc), so it would be pretty weird to consider him non-canon.
When I first got Half-Life, it was 2 years after it came out, and it was the first HL Generations Pack in the UK. The boxart was of Gordon and Adrian standing next to each other. And I played Half-Life and then I played Opfor and there was never any thought that Opfor was any less official. I’ve got two mates in the real world that played opfor but never got around to finishing original half-life. And for years Gearbox was an integral part of everything Half-Life - numerous HL patches added opfor stuff like opfor CTF, and they made the Dreamcast port, then they did Blue Shift and the HD pack, then they did the PS2 version, and for a while they were working on Condition Zero. If Condition Zero hadn’t gotten ballsed up Valve and Gearbox might have kept on working together for years.
