I pass all of those, yet the following error persists. Both in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.

What exactly is it referring to?

Do you have a G Series Mac?
You have to have a certain type of CPU, and the architecture of yours is not compliant with the program
My Mac is currently on loan to my cousin so I’m stuck with my PC. So it looks like I’m shit out of luck. Thanks for the quick reply.
If you have a PC then you don’t have a PowerPC CPU - windows doesn’t come in a PowerPC variety… In that case, the installer’s CPU check is borken…try contacting Adobe for support…
Gotcha, thanks.
Well, I tried multiple different things. Tried to use CS4 [PC version since I tried the Mac version last time :facepalm:] and I can’t seem to get around the power PC bit. I think I’ll just use Sony Movie Maker.
Try editing the installation with orca or something.
Care to elaborate?
I lol’d.
Ironically I had a similar problem when I tried to upgrade a Vista 64bit computer to Windows 7, when I used the 32bit DVD the error was “You cannot upgrade from a 64bit system to 32bit” but when I used my 64bit DVD on the same system the error was “You cannot upgrade from a 32bit system to 64bit”…
Works only with .msi installations clicky 'ere
EDIT : Can you tell us the model and the manufacturer of your CPU?
Okay, I went there. I’m confused as to which to download. They have 2 64 bits and an 84… no 36s
EDIT: Nevermind the 84bit is working.
If you want to somehow edit the installation you actually need the Windows Installer SDK
and let’s clear up some things
x86 = 32 bit
x64 = 64 bit
x84 = WTF
36 bits = also WTF
And after installing the software try to delete the system check part without screwing up the installation. This you will achieve by using INTERNET. Find out how to do stuff and things.
edit:
How do you expect us to help you without any info on your system? What’s you CPU,GPU,OS?..
Yeah the 84 and 36 was me thinking of dimension equations for my current graphic.
Here are my system specs.
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2800+
GPU: nVidia GeForce 6200
OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP3
EDIT:
I’m currently trying my hand at getting Premiere to work instead. I’ll work on After Effects once I get some files sorted that I need for Orca.
Also try cleaning up your registry (with ccleaner) that might work.
